Located right next to the Main River and dock for boats going to Wurzburg...an hour boat ride away or 15 minutes by car. The village it is in has a most charming castle garden and the hotel itself has a modern, clean style and very good breakfast and terrace garden by the river if the weather is good. We love that it is quiet and surrounded by nature.

Very nice hotel beautifully situated in a wonderful little German town along the Main river. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and efficient.

The location of the Hotel am Main was picturesque and perfectly placed for a drive to the town of Bamburg and a ferry ride to Wurzurg. The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The buffet style breakfast was nicely presented offering tasty European selections. There were several restaurants on the banks of the Main river a short walk from the hotel which made finding a dinner place an easy task. It was also convenient to have tea and coffee facilities available near the breakfast room at a minimal cost.

Fantastic setting with a lovely garden backing right on the Main River - we could wave to the boats sailing past. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms were tastefully renovated as it is an historic hotel with a fascinating story. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was tasty. Storage facilities for bikes is available and it is located right on the Radweg.

Very beautiful town, Lovely hotel, quiet, comfortable. Warm-hearted staff. A minute walk to the river, the surrounding hotel is an authentic German meal, enjoy the time here. Location is good, not far driving to Würzburg and Rothenburg

There was a stop in the drain of the shower! (room 31).

Nice clean generous room. Quiet and beautiful area, close to the river Main. Breakfast ok, for a smaller hotel like this in Germany. Nice atmosphere at the hotel.

Parking in the hotel grounds is limited although there is free public car parking by the river nearby.

This is a hotel with a very nice feel about it, located in the old small town of Veitshöchheim within easy cycling distance of Würzburg. We were able to park our bikes within a secure area the hotel grounds which was a bonus (rather than leaving them in the car). Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

Lovely location by the river and close to a number of restaurants in this small town. Very comfortable room if a little dated and staff were very friendly. Great breakfast.

There are big differences in rooms location and sizes. Our reservation indicated that we were 4 persons but there are only 2 of us and the room was assigned was in the basement next to the laundry room. After insisting on another room on a higher level we ended up in a very small double room on the first floor. We managed to changed to a more acceptable double room for the 2nd night that had more space.

    Nice and attentive staff.

The elevator stopped between 2nd and first floor, in the end staff could open the doors so there was enough space between the floor and the lift platform to get out. It was a traumatising experience. An other issue was that there was no parking at the hotel, while we had required one.

    Beds were comfy

The room (10) had an awkward smell and was pretty dirty. Lots of hair and dust on the floor. Also the tiles in the shower need work. I'd rather see an up to date and clean room instead of the focus on art and design. It doesn't quite fit.

Very friendly welcome and lovely environment by the river. We stopped there on our way home from Italy and had a fun evening by the water with our children. Room was spacious and breakfast very nice.

The wifi went down early evening and we were unable to tell anyone until the morning. This obviously did not happen too often but still a little disappointing not to have access to wifi.

This was a great hotel near the river. Lots of places to eat near by. Pleasant walks along the river and a nice residence and grounds nearby to walk around.

Parking needs planning ahead, can get packed at etimes. Breakfast buffet and sitting area are seperated and means you walk and carry quite a bit. Attendance at key breakfast period was neglected. Staff concentrating on network rather.

The charming location near river and city The beautiful garden and tastful interior equipment.
