Only hot water from the bathroom faucet. No repair despite notifying. Very filthy bathroom, glass door of the shower sticky from filth. No bar. Slow dysfunctional Wifi. Room worn down.

Excellent location, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.

    Simple rooms, needs some upgrading.

The location on the river is great, nice breakfast and breakfast room. It's a great spot to go for runs or bike rides.

No hotel car park; parking on road congested. No lounge/bar/food facilities which I expected. Room needed a comfy armchair (plenty of room for one). Duvet a bit thin for autumn. Dirty glass left unchanged for 2 days. Couldn't pay my bill night before departure as reception couldn't work computer. Breakfast staff kept giving me coffee instead of tea. Told each morning that there was no soya milch (breakfast) but there was when I asked staff to check (I had pre-ordered). I hasten to add that all the staff were very friendly and apologetic.

Good sized room. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Good location by the river, with extensive walking.

Hotel had no bar & limited restaurant which after a long day would have been so welcoming.

Pleasant location, clean with all the usual facilities. I/we had limited time to explore further.

Few parking places and very tight and difficult to get into. Room on ground floor very noisy due to traffic and pedestrians if window is open. No restaurant. Hotel built in such a way, that you could not view the river unless you brave the cold and go outside

Lovely location on Ruhr river. Good breakfast

First hotel to stay in with no kettle for making tea/coffee. Poor - all hotels should have this basic commodity. At times no staff manning Reception which doesn't look good.

    Peaceful location. Lovely setting.

The acoustic insulation was not very good, I was woken up by nearby chatter around 8am. The main supermarkets were a bit too far.

It had very good trails around it for jogging

Unfortunately there was no hot water on the first night. On the plus side - the staff were very receptive to my complaint - and it was restored for the second night. It was nice to receive a bowl of fresh fruit by way of apology. Sadly the water was again cold on the third night. I was disappointed not to have tea making facilities in the room; however this was my first time in Germany and this may well be the norm.

All of the staff were very efficient and capable. The management of the visit, before arrival, during the stay and on departure was excellent . The whole thing, including organising my golf rounds was flawless. Everything ran like clockwork. A first class and very friendly service.
