Super convenient and near train station. At an alley that has high traffic. Bar and restaurant around. Good sound proof window that block out noise. Bed is firm and good, shower pressure and temperature is good too. Hair dryer is powerful. Charging point is conveniently located near side table and at table. Water and apples available at counter. Walking distance to eateries, attractions. Cologne cathedral and bridge is very near. Ludwig museum too. Bakeries around the corners are good breakfast options. Staff is very attentive and knows guest well. You can feel a team working together to give the best to guests. Requested for fan as it was very hot on one of the nights. Request was acceded very quickly.

Bit noisy in evening a sandwiched bewteen 2 music bars but they closed at a reasonable time.

Lovely spacious room with good shower room. No aircon but as room faced north and had large windows that could be safely opened it was not a problem. Hotel well located near to river, station, cathedral, bars and restuarants.

The loud noise from the next door bar/club. Saturday is fußball day, and it got loud.

The room was reasonably clean, but the bathroom seemed like an afterthought; it had no real walls, just glass panels, offering zero privacy. The shower didn’t have a door, so everything got wet while using it. As an architect myself, I’m always shocked by the design choices in some hotels. Also, there were four enormous pillows on the bed, and we had no idea where to put them. The room was already tight, and we barely fit ourselves. Please don’t prioritize unnecessary aesthetic details over functionality. On Saturday night, there was some noise from outside entertainment. If we had needed to open the window, it would have been a real issue.

The overall design of the hotel felt quite old-school—almost like staying at my grandmother’s house. There were plenty of hangers in the room, though a few more in the bathroom would have been useful. The hairdryer either wasn’t working or I just couldn’t figure out how to use it. We had no issues with heating. It was quite sufficient. We had breakfast—it wasn’t amazing, but it met the basic standards of a decent hotel meal. The variety of bread was truly excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One evening, when we were feeling slightly unwell, we asked for hot water and cups to make tea, and they provided them without any issue. Despite outside (at Saturday night), the hotel’s interior was very quiet and peaceful. In the mornings, the soothing sound of birds chirping could be heard from inside.

Corridors and common spaces are a bit outdated. Breakfast is average (eggs and other stuff were finished at 08:45 and not re-filled)

The elevator, very old. The fact you had to walk up or down stairs to get to the elevator.

Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Like the two areas one for sleeping and the other for relaxing. The location was great next to lots of restaurants with varied menus. Also close to the sites and great shopping.

The hotel property is older and without air conditioning, so windows needed to be opened at night exposing us to late night party noise on the street below.

The hotel is conveniently located to the train station, shopping, restaurants and local sightseeing. The room was clean and very comfortable.

Hotel facilities are quite old such as sofa, curtain, desk and elevator is small. It may be not obvious when look in photo while booking.

Room is clean and location is very convenient to access many nice places including train station. Hotel is very generous on bottled drinking water. We can ask for how many we want without question, or delay which is hard to find in our three-week Germany trip.

A lovely hotel in a superb location with all the facilities you would expect of a higher rated establishment. The staff/ owner went above and beyond . For a city centre location parking was no issue at all .

Older building, could do with more modern décor in the hallways.

Very central location in the Cologne Old Town near the river and restaurants. Big room with a modernised en-suite and large shower area.
