Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe difficulty in getting a hold of the staff for even the small issues. I don't want to be trouble, but would like a little help if needed. :)
It stated breakfast, but there wasn't any. The staff avoided us like the plague. Once, we got them to 'work' with us because we accidentally booked twice and needed help so we woudln't have to change rooms, they made it a lot harder than it needed to be. Overall though, I do like how they 'stay out of your business'. Location was pretty decent overall, 10 min walk to the public station, cool area for grocery shopping.

GermanyAlthough there was a fresh smell, pointing that it was cleaned, it was more of superficial cleaning. For example there were spider webs hanging from the ceiling and the bathroom could be better. The TV had no connection, but ok you can live without that. But the lack of a mini fridge was important. We didn't meet any personel, but I don't know if that's good or bad... The price was not corresponding to the place, it could be definitely a bit cheaper.
It was worthy mostly for a night staying, not more. The area was really great, close to big supermarkets and pharmacy right beneath, easy to find food and coffee. Very convenient bus and metro connection. The beds were comfortable and big. The WiFi connection was really good. The automatic check in was easy and clear.

United KingdomThe one member of staff we saw during our stay was unfriendly and begrudgingly helped us check in. Also, the hotel is a little run down.
The room was spacious and clean. Great location-close to places to eat and transport links. Very quiet location and comfortable beds so we all slept well!

RomaniaHowever, there are some positive aspects of this hotel: good hot water and heating in the room even in a cold winter, decent cleaning; position in an area close to public transportation, restaurants, shops and Berlin Messe fair; finally, in the last day I was able to communicate with the reception guy, who for a fee of 10 EUR he agreed to offer me a well-needed late check-out. A pretty good offer in terms of price per value, if you are a non-pretentious kind of person.
There are lots of minuses of this property: very poor communication with the customers, only in German language and late delivery of the check-in details; my request for a quiet room was not fulfilled in the sense that I got the room in front of the reception and main entrance door (additionally, the elevator in the building which is shared with other business and apartments is not fonically insulated); There is no possibility to eat any meal in the hotel and not even to ask someone for a kettle to heat water for a tea or coffee. -- a general sense that you're unassisted and lost as guest.

GermanyThe hotel is on the first floor but the elevator is very tiny for the stroller so I assume a wheel chair may not fit at all. The reception closes at 4pm which i think is too early.
For the purpose of our visit it had great location. The staff was helpful and accommodated us before check in time. We had a baby with us which was not an issue. We had a quiet room. It is Sufficient for short visit if nothing fancy is required as the room is super minimalistic.

DenmarkWe were met by a staff member who spoke Russian, and put on the phone with one who spoke only German. This was quite different from English, as a language they advertised to speak. In addition the room was pretty unlike the one shown in the photos, only separated from the reception by a tinted glass door. The everyday cleaning also left something to be wished for...
The room was pretty spacious, and it had a balcony, which was a nice addition. Also, the staff who did speak english, were nice, and helped us out when we had an issue with our dog. Free parking was available nearby
