To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SpainThe stairs at the entrance leading to reception may prove a chore if with heavy and cumbersome luggage but there are lifts once at reception to the rooms. The building is a bit tired but clean & secure.
Beautiful architecture. Comfortable bed, certainly comfortable for a good nights stay in a very good location.

SwedenEverything was rather old and for that price it was expensive. Couldn't find the correct light switch for the main light, quite complicated layout. You can hear the main door closing every time a guest walks through. Shower takes around 2-3 minutes to reach normal temperature. Also no temperature regulation so I kept my window open and was awoken by bin collectors in the morning.

TurkeyThe only negative thing about the hotel is the long stairs at the entrance. Also there are rooms in two buildings, we had to take two elevators after the long stairs and another long stairs, it was not easy with a toddler in a stroller.
Location is great, staff is super helpful, rooms are super clean and spacious. We loved our roof room.

GermanyThe tv did not work properly. We opened netflix and the screen just froze. We couldn’t turn it off no matter how much we tried, so it was on the whole night with the netflix logo on the screen.
The room was great for a night. Perfect location, walking distance to bus stops and very close to U bahn and S bahn. If you want to go for high end shopping, this area is perfect.

GermanyThe hotel is located near the Kurfürstendamm neighborhood. There is a bus station nearby but the Zoologischer Garten main station is a 10 minute walk away. The hotel itself has a very unique style as well as the rooms. Getting to the room is a bit confusing at first but after staying there a couple of times it gets easier to navigate through the inner yard. The staff of the hotel is very nice and friendly and so was the check in and check out experience. The room was reasonably sized and clean, with a big bed, private bathroom, a mini bar with drinks and towels.

DenmarkOne may be lucky or less so. Being lucky means your room is accessible from the same stairway as the reception and the breakfast room. Being less lucky means your room is accessible only from another stairway than the reception and breakfast room. This implies crossing from one stairway to another in the backyard at ground level. In December that is a cold experience when going for breakfast. There are lifts for both stairways.
Centrally place, very close to Kurfürstendam. Underground station a few steps from the hotel. Clean. Spacious room. It is a 3-star hotel, thus services and facilities are average. The breakfast had a reasonable selection.

Next day at 10:30 I had a knock on the door and a reception member telling me rudely that I missed the check out at 10:00 and I should leave immediately. I answered that I was sorry, and had been told otherwise, but instead of apologising for the hotels mistake, he kept being rude.
