Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Valet car service took longer then usual but thats nit-picking

Toiletries (shaving kit, toothbrush kit etc) should be available at the room - Not upon request (although it was readily provided when asked for)
Excellent 5+star Hotel in the center of Munich , 3 min walk from The Rathaus Platz and commercial center of the Town. Maybe the best hotel in Munich , luxurious, amazing restaurants , spectacular New Year's Eve parties, staff polite and efficient in everything that was requested. Spacious and excellent room , precise and fast room service.

Rooms were warm. Windows open not an option as occasional street noise (I'm a light sleeper).

It’s not clean in the room The tables in lobby are reserved so it’s not possible to have a tea for the guests of the hotel

This is not an inexpensive hotel. It’s rated a 5 star. For the price there should be an incredibly comfortable bed but it was not. I don’t think they could’ve had a cheaper mattress. It was hard as a rock and I found my ribs hurting halfway through the night.
Large and beautiful old hotel. Several lovely bars, great spa and pool.

except the eclatant racism towards my BFwB, hard time to get seated, they blankly refused to hand out a Sixt rental car (agency in Hotel) I had reserved on her name to her based on her skin color, and this 50m from Michael’s sanctuary!!!!

The rooms are a bit too old fashioned and granny style to my taste but that’s just a matter of taste. But what I did not like was that a housekeeping person stole my iphone charger. I checked out and left my luggage at reception and went to the spa because I had an evening flight. At the spa i realized i forgot my charger in the room. When i was finally leaving, I asked about it and noone had found it and it was not in the room anymore. I double checked everything when I got home and I did not have it. I am 100% sure it was left in the room. These things happen, and there’s not much the hotel can do, but it’s very unfortunate. I don’t either like housekeeping knocking at my door 10 o’clock on the day I am checking out if they can come and clean my room…
Very nicely located old school nice hotel. Beautiful spa, comfy rooms, excellent breakfast.

Our suite seemed somewhat outdated and beds not too comfortable. There was a constant humming noise in our bathroom. (We didn’t report it until our exit)

We were a bit surprised for the tariff of this stay that they did not provide breakfast Considering that we stayed in similar hotels in other parts of Germany , we thought this was over priced We had an unfortunate incidence of the sofa in the roof top bar breaking , which brought both our friends crashing to the ground.
