Nice comfy place at a quiet location. Up the hill from town, and there’s a nice restaurant nearby. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is a dream!

The only thing that I would suggest to improve are the pillows. They were very flat and depleted.

Only a small suggestion from me as a lense wearer - mirror in the bathroom is located too far in the niche. People who are wearing lenses will understand how important it is - to see your face closer, than in a distance.

Perfect location for nature lovers. Nice and clean room. Very good breakfast. Free parking. Amazing service - Ondrej (?) in the reception provided us with useful information and was very kind and supportive. Despite our late arrival - the check-in was smooth and fast, all information was sent to us and was clear. Would love to return.

Not that I did not like explicitly, but for other to be aware - the loction is up the hill and you need to clime quite a few steps up to reach it. So not exactly great option for people with mobility issues, but then again Sächsische Schweiz is mainly for hikers, so I guess most tourists coming here know what to expect.

Overall great stay and nothing to complain. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and dinner options if one does not feel like going into town in the evening. Sauna to use free of charge, you only need to sign up on the reception. The hotel has a nice cosy vibe.

Very good breakfast, location is perfect for a relaxing time surrounded by nature. Private sauna was very cool to have and staff was super friendly. Perfect location to go to Bastei Bridge on a day trip, and ticket to use the ferry is given by the hotel which was great.

We walked to the hotel and, goodness, the stairs! We huffed and puffed the 15 min walk, all stairs, up to the hotel with our luggage. It was much better going down.

I loved how the property was tucked into the woods. The staff were amazing. We arrived early and rang the bell. Luckily they answered and let us store our bags in the lobby area. The receptionists were personable, helpful, and kind. Our room was perfect for three people and used the pull out couch for one of us. It was comfortable. The sauna was a bonus! We enjoyed the open kitchen and honor system for drinks. I would stay here again.

Amazing Hotel in the Mountains with great structure. Staff was super empathetic and supported us with our Special Date. Enjoyed our stay In a great apartment. Food was very delicious and breakfast complete. Close to the train station and Bastei.

Newly renovated appartment and beautiful dinner/breakfast area. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Nice breakfast included. 7 min walking distance from the Rathen village and ferry if you want to climb up to Bastei etc.

After reserving in booking i got an request to out a form online asking for personal information, I did it and got a confirmation everything is set. arriving to the property is see that no1 is there, but there is a locker where the keys should be available. I didn't get any code or instructions on how to use tat loxker. I called the property several time but I ear the phone ringing inside, there's a hand written phone number on the door I called that one, no answer either. I called booking support that tried to reach the hotel, they didn't succeed either. Its quite a bad experience to travel to an isolated location and the basics are not covered, next morning the manager called me, when I tried to explain what happened he told he doesn't speak English so he hang. Can really say much about the hotel but the experience with check-in, the communication with the manager, the applications used and how their work (or better don't work) was terrible. I'm still waiting for my refund, I hope it will go smooth as a charge back will take much longer. To be honest the expectation is low already. In the end it's had to book another hotel in dresden (40m drive away).

I didn't have the chance to stay in the property as the check-in process failed on the spot.

If you don’t have a car and carry luggage, climbing up or walking down the almost 175 stairs in the woods, and no elevator inside the hotel, it’s NOT fun…. This hotel needs using regular key to open or lock the door. I didn’t lock it after I walked in the room, somehow the door opened itself later. The breakfast time starts at 8am, not like regular hotel 6 or 7am. We need to catch early train, plus the stairs, so we can’t have a nice breakfast there. We paid €137 without breakfast, it’s a little bit pricey. After I asked, the staff was nice to prepare the to-go breakfast for us, we were thankful for that!

Nice quiet location for enjoying the beautiful nature. Super helpful and friendly staff and the hotel let us to change the date because our flight was delayed. Clean room and nice natural decoration!

We liked to have access to a range of drinks and a kitchen in the common area However, we felt that the prices charged were high, equivalent to restaurants - but with no service as we help ourselves and write down what we consume.

The common areas are very nice, the staff are helpful and efficient, an honour bar is available, and the breakfast is good. The location is very good, if you want to relax, walk and keep fit (going up from the village is a real workout). The rooms are relatively small and simple but are comfortable.
