The local area has some undesirable elements. The waitstaff were doing double duty between the bar and restaurant that left gaps in coverage.

Pleasant walking distance from Kiel city centre and the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Don't let the main areas fool you. The quality of materials in the rooms are top notch and well thought out.

Having to pay extra to use hotel car park (€8 per day)

Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast buffet had a good choice available. In a good location near both city centre and main roads.

Didn't like paying extra for parking and breakfast. Beer in mini-bar was not great. You can park near by for free though.

Spacious and comfortable in a quiet area perfect for a good nights sleep. Good breakfast and nice staff.

The checkout at 11:00 am. Parking fee is 8 euros and that is quite expensive for Kiel.

Clean, silent and big room. 5 minutes away from the central station (walking) and port (taxi).

Would have been extra nice for my elderly Mom if the shower had been walk-in (it had a step up/down).

There was a hot tea/coffee & water station in the lobby around the clock - with fresh fruit (apples) near the counter. I always appreciate this when travelling! The rooms were clean and modern, with a water heater/tea/coffee and a free bottle of water - excellent! Comfortable beds with 2 pillows, dark curtains, wif-fi worked well, bathroom was great & clean. Nice staff & easy access to the autobahn. Near the city, but quiet area near a large park. We had a car and found on street parking right behind the hotel. There is a parking lot behind the hotel as well for EUR 8 a night - but I think there's enough free parking around the hotel if you have time. There are 2 elevators, which is great! We didn't try the breakfast - but it would have been c. EUR 13/14 extra. I'd heartily recommend - & I travel up to 80% of the time for business. Will be my go-to-business hotel in Kiel.

This hotel is right in the middle of busy downtown. If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this isn't it. That said, the room was big and quiet.

Parking lot available for an extra fee. Very convenient, but there was also free on street parking which we discovered the 2nd day. Easy walk to to main train station and Kiellinie. Front desk staff was helpful.

We only had breakfast at the hotel on the second day. It was ok but not as some have said on the site that it was great. Some of the furnishings need some TLC.

We were travelling with 2 young children (under 3 years of age) so we booked a "junior suite". It was bigger than the double room for only a few euros more. The room was really nice and comfortable for the 4 of us.

Night time staff were curt and unhelpful. Bar doesn't open until 6pm and doesn't open at all on a Sunday. Room was very warm day and night. €13.50 for breakfast seems a little steep.

The day time receptionist was very helpful and the barman was very friendly.

Sound insulation between rooms and floors was not good. Wooden floors means we can here clip-clop of shoes in rooms above - not ideal!

Stayed at 1st floor. Lots of noise from trucks and cars on the outside form early morning. At 08:30 on a Saturday morning, the staff vacuum clean the corridor and keep shouting ! Despite that the bed sheets became clearly a bit dirty they were not changed for 3 days.

    Easy accessible.

We found this place to be expensive for what it is. Does not offer any safe parking for bicycles so cyclists should rather go elsewhere. WiFi quality in our room was not adequate for use. Somewhat sterile hotel in a quite dull spot of town, they would need to make this place a bit more sparkling to justify the price. Also, to put a nice large water bottle on display in the rooms with a tag attached that you have to be a "member" in order to drink it isn't the smartest move we've seen.

Rooms are clean, with large windows and well furnished. Breakfast is very decent.

Tiny shower, uncomfortable bed, dirty floor, fitness room was all weights and no running machines. Advertised as 4 star hotel, but is a 3 at best. The location is a bit out of the way, and for what you are paying for this '4 star' hotel you can get a much better room closer to everything.

    Friendly staff, good wifi.
