Very expensive breakfast, which is not competitive vs alternatives. Otherwise, a very good hotel. Very small rooms - for short stays is perfect!!

Newly refurbished room with great TV and room quality (recent construction/refurbishment). Central location - equal distance from city centre and baths (the reason we were in Aachen) - so greatly recommended for this kind of travellers. Really good and service oriented staff - from reception - to cleaning and resto.

Parking at hotel is small and not properly marked. Another "hotel" parking is larger but few minutes drive away and not easy to find due to one-way streets and renovation.

Hotel and staff were excellent - only complaint was with regards to itinerants/pickpockets in the area late at night.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, had a mini bar and elevator access. The service at the hotel was excellent - the receptionist (Sandra) was extremely friendly and helpful assisting us with printing off train tickets. Location was excellent and within walking distance to the city centre and Christmas markets. Post office and public transport within short walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room was rather old fashioned and not newly renovated. I dont think they should charge that much for the quality of those room facilities. It was clean though.

Nothing particular to be complained of. Well, if you come to your room in the middle of the night, you would have to ring a bell to make a staff open a door for you and sometimes it might take a while. For the rest – the hotel is rather reasonable.

The hotel is close to the city center. Everything is within a walking distance. The staff was pretty friendly, and the room was comfortable enough. Cannot complain about the wifi connection either, although you would have to ask for the new password every 24 hours. This hotel as well as Aqua Grana City one has a safe in rooms, which is not frequent for most of the hotels, even expensive ones, in Aachen.

I'd love to see them expand their little bar area and include some bar food.

From the moment I walked into the lobby I was greeted by friendly receptionist staff. I tried speaking in my limited German and they were kind, not critical, but also fluent in English. The room was just right, there was an elevator and while the room was air conditioned, I happened to be there in a cool week in August. Still, closing the window at night and having the AC meant no street noise.

Free wifi was bad . Disconnected Several times while using e-mail. It was convenient to get bus to go to Aachen University.

The location was very good for me because it takes within ten minutes on foot to the venue of the event. It was very good for shopping. Supermarket and departmentstore are also very close to the hotel. And busstation is just across the street.

Rooms could use an update, but...that's a first world problem

I loved the fact there was a real sauna (i.e. Not some heated room with a button on the wall that allows you to release water onto the hot stones every 10min or so).

Very convenient to the historic centre with a good breakfast room. Start your Route Charlemagne tour with the timeline exhibition at the Charlemagne Center in the middle of the old town. Don't miss the Cathedral and the Treasury. You can skip the thermal spring water, but don't miss a piece of rice cake!

Car park is not signed & it is hard to find in the middle of a night. The bed supposed to be a double but it had a gap I the middle so it wasn't suitable for a couple. Decoration of the room was very strange & very basic. Our room was a corner room. The location is near the center but not in a nice area. It was very noisy outside and we had problems to fall asleep.

Very disappointed with this hotel. We were expecting much higher standard of facilities for the price & 4*. I would not recommend this hotel. The only positives are the close location to the center & friendly staff.

However, the room was a bit cold. And heating system did not work properly. I checked with other friends, and they all had the same problem. It was not just my room. Of course, if you travel in summer that is not a big deal. But for freezing cold autumn it was really cold :)
