Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyHad trouble getting in contact with someone to check-in during check-in hours. It was a little longer than I anticipated.
The room was clean and spacious. If you don't mind walking, the Wittelsbacher Platz wasn't too far away, but if walking isn't for you, we noticed they had bus and street car stops very close by.

United KingdomNo one at reception and no way to contact the hotel direct even emergency number wasn't answered. It turns out they had emailed a few hours before we got there that I didn't get. Communication could have been better.
Went for Oktoberfest and very convenient location. The room was as described and clean.

FinlandUpon arrival I saw the former guest's trash in the trash can and money on the floor and thought, is the room cleaned...? But linen looked clean and no smell and bed was made. But my colleagues' rooms were not so good, some had really small and bad smelling (mold!) rooms (209? etc), others bigger but bathroom not renovated etc. Breakfast we never tried, it was hard to buy it.
My room 204 was renovated and nice, no bad smell, and spacious with a working station. Comfy bed, normal room temperature. Had I only seen my room, I would have rated this hotel as 8.0, but my some of my colleagues had moldy smelling tiny rooms, so I can only give this hotel an 6.0. Lokation ok-ish, S-bahn about 500m away, easy to find. There's a really nice restaurant next door, I recommend Tavern Lithos! St. Martin Str. is quite a busy road, but windows block most of the traffic noices. Building has an elevator.

ItalyThere was a problem with the automatic payment, so they contacted us and asked to meet a man from the staff at 1 pm, the day after our check in. We needed of course to re-plan the day because of it. When we arrived, there were already 3/4 persons there at the reception, because it turned out that the problem was theirs. That was okay, no one was complaining. But guess what? the man was really rude (I mean really), treating people like they were wasting his time. You need to be professional
Nice neighborhood, very close to the metro and other public transportation. The room was nice and tidy

GermanyVERY far from the city center (necessary to take a train, expensive ticket), dirty common bathroom (probably not cleaned during the three days we were here) with empty shower gel (not refilled), noisy at night if the windows are open, no air conditioning, no reception and not the clearest explanations (no info on how to check out)
Extremely comfortable bed, sink in the bedroom, kettle, tea, television, nice area (trees, feels safe at night) Overall very nice room

New ZealandYou could see straight into the shower from the top bathroom window but there were no curtains. We hung towels in front of the window so any neighbours in the surrounding apartments couldn’t see in. The man on front desk was a bit abrupt and could’ve been a lot nicer.

DenmarkEverything was okay, and the price was very fair. The man in the reception was extremely helpful. He helped us ordering a lock for our Camplet (trailer) and he gave us a lot of good advices during the stay. I wish that a guy like him could work in every reception of a hotel.

United KingdomParking wasn't free, as opposed to a few months back where it was; The place was not very clean, could see marks of coffee on the table from previous guests. Found a lot of hairs imbedded in the sheets. Bathroom was not very clean either. Coffee and tea were old, could barely open them and they tasted weird. Also when they cleaned the room they weren't replenished.
Location was great, had easy access to centre by various methods of travel. Had own bathroom Was expecting a bit more for the money paid but is what it is.

United States of Americano breakfast which is a surprise and there is no cafe for breakfast nearby. there is nobody at the reception desk after my check in. the messages I sent out to the hotel through booking.com got no response. Essentially once you check in, you are all alone, there is no help at all. There were some kids yelling in the hall during the evening time but it lasted short so not a big problem. I just hope there was somebody at the reception desk to answer your questions when you need to.
the location is good, just a few stops with tram 18 or S3, which all take you to the city center within 10-15 minutes. the hotel room was big and clean. it was a comfortable stay for me.

New ZealandNo mini fridge, no air con or fan (fortunately by a park/cemetery?) and there was a thunderstorm that night so it was cool enough for a late June stay.. no grocery stores near by for a snack, but there is a Greek restaurant just below the hotel.
3mins from the tram to the city centre/6mins from the train. Neat and tidy. Has an elevator. good wifi, breezy room. Like that it was two single beds and blankets. There is a kettle for all the tea lovers. 8pm check in was all good.
