Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location description.
Did not take breakfast . Room was basic and adequate for the price. Location excellent but direction how to reach from Frankfurt main station can be better described. It is just 2 minutes walk.

The area around the Central Railway Station is almost a no-go-area with a lot of drug dealers of african origin walking around in big groups, looking really dangerous at times. At night there are only policemen and suspicious subject in the whole area between Bahnhof and Europa Viertel. I definitely wouldn't call it a family-friendly area so please be very careful chosing any hotel in this area if you're a single woman, a young couple or family with kids.
Cosy room with comfy beds, very good breakfast, relatively quiet and convenient location at a walking distance to the centre and Frankfurt Messe.

The area around the hotel is overflowing with people with drug and alcohol problems... ugly and decadent area. The hotel, you can tell, has not invested in itself (facilities, amenities and furnishings) for a very long time.
The price was not bad at all, although it could have been more economical given the location and condition of the infrastructure (somewhat deteriorated by time)

The room was in general clean but a bit dusty and the TV didn't work.
It was close to the train station which as essential for me and the staff was nice.

The room was extremely noisy, due to a street nearby. Was not able to sleep due to the noise. The carpets in the room need changing, they are pretty untidy.
Wonderful breakfast, exceeded expectations. The host at the breakfast table was very polite and warm. Quality of food was excellent.

- The room didn't have a phone to reach the reception. - The area surrounding the hotel was shady! - The windows didn't have shutter - so, ppl who enjoy the German shutters which give complete darkness will be disappointed.

Generally, Frankfurt feels like an unsafe city and unfortunately the Hauptbahnhof attracts a certain type of person which makes it feel unsafe. As the hotel is close to the Hauptbahnhof, it gets some spillover from these people. This is not the fault of the hotel, but if you are staying here alone I would recommend travelling by taxi or with others at night time.

1 - Bedroom and entrance hall with a very strong cigarette smell. 2 - In the middle of our stay, the minibar stopped working, which caused a meal we had stored there to spoil. 3 - At night the neighborhood can make those on foot uneasy.
