The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature. The room is very spacious and clean with an authentic old fashioned style. It is also possible to check in late at night, very convenient. We had an amazing stay, Highly recommended!

    Thin pillows, curtains and walls

The pillows were terribly thin (once you put your head on them), of not much use. It was not possible to properly blind the windows due to the poor choice of curtains. One window in the sleeping area did not even have a curtain. Finally, the walls were also very thin, with other guests arriving in the middle of the night waking me up.

Nice grounds, fine breakfast in a nice medieval style cellar.

Decor on walls in our was a bit not with the feel of the castle. Not that it was a huge concern. It just threw off the vibe a bit. - WiFi was horrible.

Breakfast was superb! The property is tidy and in a quiet location. There is lots of character. Remnants of the castle's past added to the charm of the place. The dining hall is beautifully preserved.

Burg Boetzelaer caters more to events, therefore doesn't have a restaurant. Internet functioned only in certain areas (one reception room for events) but neither in our room nor the common areas.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, great location near the Archaeological Park Xanten.

Not a bad experience but payment is preferred in cash or debit card. Not a problem for us but would have been nice to know prior to arrival

Clean, comfortable, great staff and something a bit different.
