Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

All was great, staff at reception, clean and specious room, we asked for 2 extra pillows and balcony and we got both. Great service and very good breakfast with plenty of choice. The location is amazing, very close to U bahn and S bahn stations and very nice neighborhood! If coming back to Berlin we will stay here again.

The only challenge I had was paying money for parking at the hotel when I am a guest sleeping over for 10days and had fully paid hotel bill.

The bathroom door was a bit "indiscrete" as it had a tendency to open by itself.
I slept very well in the nice clean and quiet rooms. Very nice breakfast. Close to U-bahn and easy walking distance to S-bahn as well.

Aircon did not work. Staff advised to just switch it off which also didn't really help. Final solution was to open windows at night which gave some relieve.

Wifi stopped working and the staff nicely explained the reason about the service provider. It was down for the rest of our stay but I think the service provider didn't fix it cuz it was weekend.
The staff was very friendly and kind. Their hospitality makes you feel at home. The room was clean and comfy. Despite our room was at the street side, we still enjoyed the silence and slept very well as the windows were thick enough. The location is just perfect. Walking distance to the Kurfustendam central. Few steps away from metro and bus lines and very near of high-end shopping brands. The cost of hotel is cheap compared to it's standards. We would definitely stay here again next time.

I would give you a 10, but really, the wi-fi was a nightmare – the connection speed was so low that I barely made it to open an e-mail client and browsing webpages was virtually impossible. Normally I wouldn't care that much, but I was on a business trip and I actually needed a decent stable wi-fi which should not be that difficult to provide.
The location was very convenient. I was honestly surprised that my room was so spacious: the high ceilings and a large window really helped to create a nice atmosphere and a feeling of free space. The furniture was well-thought-out, with plenty of storage space and a nice desk to work at. I also really appreciate the reasonable location of the power plugs, which were easy to reach. The bathroom was nice and clean. Very competent and professional staff (thank you!).

Everything was great - so I've nothing to complain.
If you're looking for quite central, but still not super central location - then Leonardo is right choice. It's in walking distance from Zoologische Garten station, all the great shopping places, has a lot of nice restaurants and cafes around.

The hotel is a bit outdated.
Our room was massive. We had sofa, armchair and table which we really appreciate. And the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is on the high fashion street so loads of shopping for those who love to shop. And endless choices of restaurants and cafes.

The shower could have been better - the nozzle was small and the cable linking it to the tap was too small, so the nozzle pointed in an awkward direction. And the housekeepers kept trying to clean my room at 9am - too early!!
Very well placed, staff friendly and helpful. 24hr reception very useful.
