Although not far from town the hotel seems a little out of the way. The walk up to the hotel is quite steep & may not suit less ambulant people.

Brilliant place, check in easy, rooms spotless and reception worker on at the time full of information and courteous. Late night honesty bar was a god send . Breakfast wonderful all in all I have no negatives.Well worth the walk up the steep hill.

The location is perfect , located on a quiet street very close to blackforest. Rooms was very clean , staff was perfect . Breakfast is also good. I will directly prefer, if I visit Freiburg again

Breakfast was very nice, I also liked being able to grab a tannenzapfle from the cooler when I got in at night. It is a bit of a walk to the center but the neighborhood is lovely and you are only a few minutes walk to trails in the forest so I thought it was a great location.

Location is a bit far to reach by foot up the hill. There appears to be ebike rentals on location though.

Checkout was a bit earlier than usual (9:30am). Also, if you are taking public transit, you'll want to hire a taxi as the property is not very accessible when schlepping luggage. I took the tram to Europlatz then found a taxi easily for only a few euros. In the end, it's still a great location and positively beautiful.

Only a ten minute walk from the city center, and you can take a beautiful path through the park. The views from the rooms are enchanting. Breakfast is good, and the lobby offers great prices on top quality beverages for the room. For an exquisite dining experience, you can hike up the hill for a breathtaking sunset and the remarkably delicious Dattler Schloßbergrestaurant. After dinner, you can leisurely ride the Seilbahn directly into the city center for a night on the town.

The room is small, but it was fine for a short stay. It is difficult to reach the hotel by public transportation; you need to walk for 15 minutes or take a taxi. I don't mind walking, but this hotel is not for you if you cannot walk long distances, please note that the 15-minute walk will be climbing a mountain (not flat walking).

The staff was very nice, allowing me to do early check-in and late check-out. The hotel's location is perfect if you plan to climb the mountain of the black forest. The room is spotless and has the basic things you need. They serve a delicious apple from their own garden for free, which is very tasty. Overall, I like the policy of the hotel that is built on trust and open hospitality. I felt that I'm a guest rather than a client.

I had a lovely stay at Caritas Tagungszentrum! Staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the breakfast selection was great! Would definitely recommend this place if you don't mind a short walk from the old town! :D

The only problem was that it is on the hill, where no transport goes. the nearest station is only around 10 minutes walk but if you have luggage you might have to take a taxi.

Besutiful hotel with nice outdoor area with a great view over the city. Excellent breakfast!
