Some details were missing the shampoo soap was empty needed to tell the receptionist and also i don’t know if it is supposed to be available or not but there were no cups or electric kettle to make coffee and needed to ask reception as well.

the service staff do not speak german nor english, so it is dfficult to communicate with service if no one else is around. not possible to get breakfast on same day.- Single bed bit narrow and small.

location, elevator is available: great, not always the case. Free coffee at lobby, friendly receptionist almost familiar atmosphere. The Bathrooms have been renovated, very nice showers. Quiet and clean. Windows can be opened.

No one at the reception when we came, and this is pretty much the same every time we ha e stayed at this hotel. Always a challenge he to get the keys. Also price for parking went from 7euros/night to 15!

This is a basic but cheap and practical hotel. The room was big and beds comfy. Yes it's old and a bit worn but it's perfect for a night and some of these reviews are a bit harsh.. 20 min walk to old town

The bathroom had a hair dryer which worked for a few seconds and then would stop. Also, when taking a shower, there was a lot of water going to the other side so that was a bit annoying (glass containing water was too short in this room).

Staff was super nice and kind. Location is perfect, close to Central station and to many trams and buses possibilities. The room was as described, big enough and very tidy.

The floor is made of old carpet that triggered some serious allergies. No AC meant sleeping with an open window, which forced me to put some earplugs on (a few drunk ppl, as you would expect close to a train station). I regretted not having a kettle.

The personnel is amazing. I checked in late, had lost some info I needed them to put on the receipt -they stayed patient and professional. All spoke English well and were helpful. Bedroom is the bare minimum, but the bathroom had obviously been renovated in the past years. Everything was kept clean. For the price, it's an excellent place to go to visit Heidelberg or go to an EMBL conference (close to all buses).

We were late due to defect train, phoned if we were still coming and offered a solution also for arrival after 22:00 hours. The hotel is ideal for train travellers because opposite the station. Heavy traffic in the street but well isolating windows.

No working lift which makes it hard to carry luggage up 3-4 floors. No air-con or fan in summer. Very basic amenities. Seemed not especially friendly to English-speakers.

The toiet is extra small, the shower has no barrier to stop water from running to floor and then to room.

I am not fond of showers where you walk in and there is only a pane of glass separating it from the rest. When i am very tired, i am almost walking into that pane with my head first (no harm done so far, but have to try to be careful). I have seen this kind of design in a few hotels though. Water tends to splash everywhere anyway. There was no mini fridge (still it is fine for 1 -2 nights and that price).

Breakfast was good, i wish tea cups were larger but that's almost the same thing everywhere (just my personal preference). I chose this hotel because i needed a place very close to the station. That was my only real criteria this time. Personel was very friendly, i think they try really hard at making the best they can with basic amenities they have - they keep it clean.
