The room window has no curtain, I have to use the newspaper to keep my privacy and that I could be able to sleep. The TV is I think only for decoration because no channel available. The shower is hard to regulate, sometimes hot water comes continuously that I was afraid to burn my skin and sometimes just cold water only was coming.

The room is big enough for me. The breakfast was quite good

we visited in July 2022, during the middle of a 35|36°C heatwave and the lack of air conditioning or a fan made for relatively uncomfortable evenings when the wind wasn’t blowing. That’s really the only downside, the furnishings were dated but not an issue to us, just a funny “grandma’s house” aesthetic.

Great location and nearby to a few good restaurants. We visited the Zoo and it was a good 40 minute walk however, so I’d recommend a taxi. Staff were friendly and breakfast was (although not very much) still a good source of energy for the day!

The breakfast was very good ,the check in was till 22 o'clock but our train from Diseldorf was more then 3 hours lated and i called hotel to inform them and Lady was on the end of the Swift but understood the problem and she waited us till 1:30 in the morning,thanks her again.

Parking: postage stamp size (3 cars, 1 of which at least was staff), basically unavailable, staff unclear about in forehand how limited it really was Hallways and rooms: very musty, dirty old carpet, extra stairs (not in the least handicap accessible), Shower entirely on a tilt with very loud fan. Entire room smelled like parfum? Bed: Mattress looked nice in picture, in fact a very old bedspring one, uncomfortable. Bedding made of polyester.

Staff were very helpful, and went above and beyond to help resolve a change in the nights I stayed there and approve a partial refund.

the mould in the shower was frightening.

We arrived late and the young gentleman on reception was very helpful and friendly. It was due to him that we felt comfortable. He explained to us that the breakfast buffet was not working as usual and that the breakfast was to be brought to the table due to Covid so as that excess contact between people was avoided but this was not the case in the morning.

It was already mentioned that the hotel is old with all consequences of that fact, i.e. old (although intact) furnishing, old (and still working) tube tv in the room, broken (but repaired) floor tiles in the bathroom an so on. And the smell of the old property as mentioned in many reviews here. If you don't bother about all these, there is hardly any other hotel in the area that can beat the price offered here.

Second time here, this time for three nights. The hotel is located in historical quarter and surrounded by buildings from industrial golden age of the city, beginning 20th century (Art Noveau / Jugendstil enthusiasts probably know what I mean). The city hall and city center are around the corner. Good breakfast included in the price. Overall the most affordable option to stay, if you don't mind some old furnishing in the room.

Room was dirty, hairs everywhere. The window was broken. No sheets for the bed, just blankets. The room stinked tobacco, really disgusting.

Breakfast was good. Nice variety por the price you pay. Coffee was just water with colour. The personal was nice.

I have already mentioned the smell but for that price for short stay there is nothing to complain about.

The hotel is located in 15 minutes walking distance from main train station. Although the property itself is somewhat old with typical smell mentioned in lots of reviews, they have relatively spacious rooms with everything provided. A goood buffet breakfast is served until 10:00, althought there is information at the desk it is until 9:30 so ask in advance. The desk itself is officially open until 18:00 but I came almost at midnight and there was still someone to help me! It is suggested however to provide correct check in times.

Very dirty everywhere. There were stains all over the floor, on the wall, on the furniture. No wifi in the room although It was near the reception. No light in the bathroom. for the sane money you can book something else in the city
