Security around the ground floor. We were in 128 and every time I opened the window I was mindful that someone could get in as it was open spaced and backing residential buildings.

The heating in the bathroom was not functioning, we complained, but it was not solved during our three night stay. As the towels were small, they got fast wet and they stayed so without heating. At check-out I was asked by the receptionist if we used the minibar and I told him that it was no minibar in the room ( no safe either, which is a minus), so he asked me if we drank from the two bottles of water that were on a table. I said yes, but for me it was obvious that the water bottles were complementary, nowhere it was a price written. I said no problem, I will pay them, but the receptionist told me that he will do me a big favour: because the heating in the bathroom was not repaired, he will offer me the water bottles for free. I did not further comment, but I am writing this comment here to express my slight disappointment: it could have been a very nice stay without this final discussion. I am traveling almost weekly for business, so I do not like to be treated in such way when traveling for leisure …

If you're driving to hotel, that's fine and perfect. For me, I need to pull my heavy suitcase to a long steep road that makes me exhausted. Kitchen wares were not provided to short stay guest which didn't mention in the description. Although the hotel seems not fully booked, I was assigned a room which needs a long and many turns.

Room is cosy, quiet and comfortable.

I didn't like the fact there was no mini fridge in the room. And no working ice machine in the hotel. I had to buy bags of ice every day for my drinks and champagne.

There was a member of staff in the dinning area that was super unfriendly infant she walks so fast she will push people out of her way which was not nice.

I would like to come to Mainz again and stay at this Hotel.

Only the fact that the fan was too small and noissy for the time when it got really hot, and there was no answere for the heat, and there were no lite blankets, only the very thik ones for cold nights.

Would have preferred a better view, which we had requested. Appearance from outside is not as nice as it could be. A bit further from downtown than we had thought.

Drinking glass from previous occupant found in room on arrival. Be warned: the kitchenette option featured on Booking.com is not accurate. Cooking equipment is only provided for stays of more than 14 days unless you pay an extra 30 Euro fee. The staff member I approached about this soon after arrival basically said that's just how it is. The staff member at checkout said they would remove the kitchenette feature on Booking.com. We booked for only two nights so were only mildly inconvenienced. Had we booked for longer expecting cooking facilities we would have extremely annoyed.
