We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel was very accommodating. As our flight to Hamburg was early we request a room be available with little expectation, but there was one ready! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.The free airport transport was fast and efficient as well. Despite proximity to the airport the room was quiet with no external noise. The room and beds were comfortable. The U bahn nearby meant accessing the city centre was easy with a regular service.

RomaniaWe had just bought some water from reception (yes, water, not cocktails, not shots — actual bottled water), and I stepped outside with a friend for a quick smoke. My partner, who doesn’t smoke, stayed inside, sitting on a lobby couch with his eyes closed, waiting for us before heading upstairs to sleep. The duty manager decided this was apparently a scandalous act and told him “it’s not normal” to lie down in the lobby. My partner explained he wasn’t sleeping, just resting quietly — no noise, no disturbance, no alcohol involved — yet a few minutes later, the same manager actually came outside to find me and my friend, asking if we knew “that man” and if we were also guests of the hotel. The whole thing felt more like a crime investigation than a hospitality moment. I get that hotels have standards, but this was a bit much. No one was inconvenienced, nothing inappropriate happened, and frankly, it’s not the kind of overreaction you expect from a Marriott brand. Everything else during our stay was lovely, so I might come back — but next time, I guess we’ll make sure to keep both eyes wide open in the lobby, just in case
Our stay at Courtyard by Marriott Hamburg Airport was overall pleasant — clean room, great location near the metro — but one evening came with a scene straight out of a sitcom.

DenmarkWe loved it all. Only downside was that they charged us 3 times for the hotel, and I had to call them to get told to write them. We payed with Apple pay at check-in but apparently their system and applepay isn't good friends :) All they asked us to do it again.... And then again at checkout. If they didn't have charged us 3 times I would give them 10 stars. Best hotel we stayed at in Germany. And we travel a lot, and sleep on different hotels in Hamburg. Courtyard is by far the best we have stayed at. Room and the service is top class. We didn't try the pool or the dinner, but will do so the next time But they fixed it pretty quickly.
The room was amazing. The location is also really good. Close to the airport but also to Hamburg centrum.
