Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsParking in the area is a bit difficult especially on weekdays as most of it is paid parking. The property has allotted parking space which is expensive. The staff did not know much about on street parking, so we had to figure it our by ourself. The sauna did not work when we went there, so couldnt say much
The room was very big with comfortable beds. We had a large bathtub. The breakfast was decent, with a good range of fresh fruits, breads, cheese, etc. I travelled with a group of 8 friends and we had 3 rooms. The staff was accomodating and ensured we had a good stay. Swimming pool was awesome, there were times when it was just our group. Also since we went on a weekend, we did not have to pay for on-street parking. Everything is nearby - train station, restaurants, we also got coupons form the hotel for bus rides locally.

PolandOur room, 535, had a musty smell and was not well cleaned behind the door into the bedroom, which we noticed because we needed to close the door at night to lessen the noise from the bathroom fan. It was also overheated. There was one staff member, first name Rusia, who was just plain rude. Other staff were pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was a very good variety of fresh and freshly cooked foods. The coffee was very good. My daughter enjoyed the spa facilities, found them to be clean and comfortable.

United KingdomThe restaurant was in a fantastic room but only had a buffet (the same every night) which we thought was overpriced
Breakfasts were really good with a huge range of different foods. Spa/sauna ad pool were clean and easy to access. Robes and extra towels were available f.o.c on request. The reception staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful, providing extra coat hangers and an adapter when we forgot ours, and printing out our boarding passes for the trip home

United StatesI was on foot getting to the hotel. Although the distance from the train station wasn't a problem, I had difficulty rolling my suitcase over the cobblestone streets. If I were doing it again I'd take a taxi.
I really enjoyed the wellness center. Great having such a nice facility.

GermanyIt's an old building and things can't be changed much but in summer it can get hot and it's quite tight, but that's not much to be changed. The bathrooms though and where you place your towels I did not like, pulling one towel off the first night I dropped the two below it into the toilet by accident, very cramped.
The reception staff was very personal, I got along with all of them especially richy whom I came down to chat with for fun whenever I was bored. I didn't learn the names of the others but they gave me wonderful advice for my motorcycle trip and helped me with parking and special requests. 11/10.

Good location, right between the old town and train station. Great facilities, like spa, pool, car park and bike storage room.

GermanyI could hear other guests talking on the floor on their way to the breakfast room (in the morning). I wonder if it was possible to fix this..
Location ( very close to the train station and to the city), carpets on stairs (acoustic measure), butter machine in the breakfast room and great staff (10 of 10). They managed to clean my shirt for the next conference day. Fantastic catering during the conference. No technical sounds in the hotel room - this is highly appreciated.

DenmarkThe bar closed very early (before 10pm) after which nothing was served except in a vending machine. Breakfast buffet was very crowded at peak hours.
Fairly large hotel which was at times quite busy. Nice sauna and a small pool/spa area which we enjoyed. The bar in the connected building is a beautiful, historical set of rooms.

GermanyI didn't like the parking situation, since they don't have a parking lot themselves. Although I know it's not their fault, the extreme heat (August 2022) made the stay a little bit uncomfortable and the room didn't have any fan (I wasn't really expecting AC to be honest). The check out could be a bit later, in my opinion.
The room was very spacious and the view was amazing. The hotel is located directly on the north of the inner city. If you come by train, that would be a nice option for you. All the staff was very friendly and professional.

United KingdomBreakfast - on the final day the breakfast waitress queried the fact that I had only paid for one breakfast - myself. My wife only having a cup of tea! This was the same for the whole stay This was an embarrassment to my wife!! The reception team did not have any full details re the little town train - which we always enjoy at any town we visit. There was no availability for tickets to be available from the hotel - but this may be through no fault or control of the hotel.Throughout the stay - there was no bar available or lunchtime meals.
Restaurant - excellent service and food.

SwedenThere was only one escape route from the room. If there would be a fire there is no escape! The elevator is from 1989 and needs to be replaced. The sound proofing out into the hallway is insignificant/none.
I love the spa and that it’s included in the price, no extra fee. Beds are very comfortable and the cleanliness is good. Very friendly and service minded staff.

GermanyThe bathroom was, in my opinion, ridiculously small. I do not know how they would make it any bigger.
The breakfast was excellent, as good as any we have had in a hotel. The room was a reasonable size, except fo the bathroom. Location is very good for visiting Goslar Innenstadt.

DenmarkThe hotel states that it has a charger for electric vehicles, but it did not work for our car (Tesla Model S) and the staff did not know much about it and could not help in the situation. It was quire streesful because we had counted on using it and risked being stranded because of low charge. I suggest the hotel get a Tesla distination charger, it will also work for other brands.

GermanyWe didn’t like how we were put so far in the back of the hotel. Also we call and asked for an extra bed they said it would be ready for us but it was not. Then when we sat on the it broke. The pool was faraway down dark scary hallways.
We like that the location was so close to town.
