No complaints. The parking is a little pricey at 15 Euros at the big Sonne hotel across the way, but the two hotels work together and take care of everything.

Great location, handy for everywhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice airy room with a great selection of rolls, cereal, coffee, juice. The wifi was good, the place was clean - everything you need. It's a very convenient base for seeing Rostock. I'd go back.

the reception is closed in the evenings, you have to go across the street for a key. Parking at the hotels parking place is expensive. Do ask for the room towards back yard, otherwise it is impossible to sleep because of the noise from the street.

Good value for money for a short stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean, good breakfast.

Tea and coffee making facilities would have made it perfect!

Great location on the Market Place. 100m from tram stop. Very friendly, helpful staff. Large room, x-large bathroom, comfy bed - all immaculately clean. Consistent hot water in shower. Did not take breakfast as I cannot do it justice but it looked excellent.

We booked a room at Kleine Sonne but got one at the Steigenberger Hotel Sonne just opposite at same streat. It was a big upgrade and we enjoyed the stay at a very tastefull and comfortable room.

Breakfast costs too much (14 euro per person). Entrance has no ramp for heavy luggages and strollers.

Central location and very near to main train station. Staffs are extremely helpful.

We had to ask a few times for a blanket - only on our last stay was an extrs blanket supplied and then only for one person. Rooms were often only done very late in the day. No free wifi was a problem for us.

Position and helpful staff and cleanliness. Although not luxurious the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere.

Old hotel with a refurbished frontoffice. Although asked, a quiet room seamed impossible to book. Or you had a room in the front facing the street, or a room in the back facing the courtyard parking, or there were rooms in the middle with a small ventilator shaft. You could hear everybody snoring. Internet was slow and needed to be reastablished every 5 to 10 minutes. Total price for a singel room of about 110 euro a night was not worth it. For this price you expect much better !

The room was quite small but especially the beds, and certainly the duvets are really thin and simply too small if you're very tall. In germany I've mostly encountered super-awesome duvets so this was definitly a downer. 5€ per day for the wifi sucks of course. I once handed over some laundry to be done and while service was very good, it wasn't so clear to me that this costs about 50€. The Sauna area at the Steinberger Sonne, while very good, never had any staff at it's desk (I only went between 7 and 10 pm though). It is cosy and well-equipped though I must mention the quite loudly ticking clock which was stuck at 3pm or something - this was the case the full 2 weeks that I used the sauna.

The breakfast is exceptional. It has literally everything you want - except freshly squeezed orange juice, but in all honesty, I don't know any hotel who makes freshly squeezed orange juice. The breakfast most notably features mini croissants every day and alternatingly features mini donuts and mini boule de berlins. Clean bathroom. The wifi is also very fast, but at 5€ a day or 30€ a week, at least that is to be expected. The hotel is the little brother hotel of the big Steigenberger Sonne hotel some max 50 meters away, which has an excellent sauna that also guests of the Kleine Sonne can use, which is great.
