A romantic hotel in a romantic city... beautifully combining the quaint old charm....like a four poster bed... with a modern bathroom and sound poof windows. Good restaurants are just outside the door. The decor is original, artistic and creative. It's a fun place to stay.

The host is really friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and nicely decorated with a big and comfortable bed. The hotel is located by one of the town gate. So it is very easy to get in and out of the town. Because it is a small town, it is also easy to get about. Just walk. Dinkelsbuhl is such a nice little town. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is directly inside one of the main gates, therefore the street is busy. With open windows at night, traffic was a little noisy. Also, there is a big restaurant in front of the hotel that stays open very late so their lights were on late.

The decor in the hotel is old and charming but the bathroom is modern and clean -a great combination.

Ir was a terrible experience. Owner of the hotel simply don’t like children. I have a 2y old boy full with energy. The lady owner of the hote complains about all the baby mess he was doing. At the end, around 9h50 I closed the account and was putting baggage in the car when my baby had an emergency and I needed to change diapers. They refused me to enter in the hotel again with my baby to change him. I honestly think this hote should simply not accept children. For couples it might be ok, but attention, because owners can pretende, but they are not good people in the opposite of the general German person that is nice and friendly.

No lift, but was aware of that prior to booking. Room was up only one flight.

Breakfast was satisfying but not as outstanding as some other places stayed. Fresh cooked eggs were offered. Room was a tad small but beautiful antique furniture in a 16th C building. Very comfy four-poster bed. Bath/toilet facilities VG. Not noisy at night even w/windows open. WiFi VG.

The couple who owns the hotel is very nice. There is art everywhere in the hotel, a lot created by the owners themselves. The breakfast room looks like a medieval castle. We will be coming back, but then especially for this little town and this nice hotel.

The hotel was located just inside one of the principal gates and relatively short-term parking was possible just outside the hotel though a sizable car park was only a couple of minutes' walk away. The wall decoration was original and mostly provided by the artist owners whose shop/studio was on the ground floor. The bedroom was airy and spacious with a four-poster, hand-painted bed and matching Bavarian-style wardrobe. Good bathroom with efficient shower and quite extensive sitting area. The location was first class in this small town with shops, restaurants, wonderfully decorated and painted local houses, parks and walking area near the river/lake.

Definitely not to go to the Italian restaurant next door, waiters if you called them that, pretended to speak only Italian(its Germany). Ignored anybody who spoke English like it was unspoken language. Didn't let it spoil our evening, however did for many others. Guess you can do that with a great location. Still, plenty of restaurants near by.

They (and probably other hotels in the Altstadt) advertise free public parking on-site. That parking is only from 4pm-10am. The rest of the time you have to park outside town in one of the parking lots. For one night we decided to leave the car near the hotel but it made a rushed departure since we wanted to wander around town in the morning before all the traffic.

We didn't get run over by cars driving fast through town.

Such a great hotel. Immaculate presentation of rooms, which were large. We had the family room as travelling as 2 adults and 2 kids. Location is great, within the town wall, lots of cafes and restaurants close by. Staff were really great. Wish we had another night.

The staff member was extremely helpful and welcoming to the hotel. The hotel itself was lovely and well situated high above the lake. We were delighted with an overnight snow fall which blanketed the town.

Super! The owners are charming and great hosts. Our family room was really 3 separate rooms and we all slept well despite some construction in the village. The breakfast was typical German, all the things you expect and well-presented. I would definitely stay again.

Romantic bed with curtains and a roof. Every question was resolved instantly before it could even become an issue. Excellent value for money. Free parking in front of the hotel itself during the night.

Maybe just a few more hooks in the bathroom, but that is a problem with ALL hotels.

The owners are two wonderful people who also operate the art studio below the hotel rooms. Very friendly and affable people who are a delight to talk with. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, for a very affordable rate. The home-made breakfast may not be the largest one but everything was freshly made and tasted great. The town of Dinkelbühl is a hidden gem along the romantic road. Far less tourist-focused than Rothenburg, it had a great small-town german feel to go along with its historical walls and architecture. The Weinachtsmarkt we visited felt less tourist-focused and more like a small-town gathering focused on great German foods, beer and glühwein. The hotel is wonderfully located right in the walls of the old town and makes a great staging point for exploring the Romantic Road. Highly recommended.
