The rooms are a little bit small. If two people each have their own suitcase, one of them has to be placed on the floor, and will be in the way. The selections at breakfast could be better at the price they charge for breakfast - there were few things to choose from. Only one elevator, which is small and slow.

My second time at this hotel. I like it. Located very close to the central train station. Nice staff, clean rooms. The rooms are a good bargain at that price.

Check in was slow and quite delayed as the room wasn't ready at the check in time. Staff was friendly as I had to use google translate back and forth. Not really any views from the room and you'd want to keep curtains closed for privacy anyway

Room is decent sized, on the small/budget side but good enough. Bathroom is small but the shower door opens inwards and is a bifolding two door thing it's awesome and seems to be typical in German hotels? I was pleasantly surprised. TV works well, internet works well. The area around the hotel felt pretty safe, it is a short walk to the train station which is the biggest benefit

The room with en suite bathroom was excellent in layout, bathroom fittings and cleanliness. The breakfast was good and staff very friendly.

It’s adorable. So tastefully decorated. Small room for a solo traveler is perfect size and comfortable. Bathroom is large and great.

The location is not very safety, A lot of homeless or people get drunk or high, need to be really careful.

The location is good, really nearby train station and a lot of restaurants around.

The bathroom was badly designed as very difficult to get in , 90% of people would have to shower and use toilet with the door left open , there was only enough room if you were tiny , very poor No tea or coffee making facilities and when asked got told no Also when I arrived they tried to charge me an extra £700 euros but backed when I showed my booking confirmation

1. Unpleasant staff (reception and cleaning staff). What I found really annoying of them is trying to get to my room two hours before the check out time (knocking two times of two different persons) wanting to clean the room. 2. Very small room (however, it's enough for a night or two)

The room was very hot in June but they had no fans for guests. We tried to keep the windows open but there was so much shouting outside it was impossible... Because of the heat, we did not sleep very well and the children were very tired in the morning. I also moved a spare bed near the master bed and moving the bed revealed shocking amounts of dust. Under the bed hadn't been vacuumed in a while. I also wonder how a four-star hotel has nothing in the room (e.g. an electric kettle, cups, instant coffee / tea...).

The room was big and beautiful. I appreciated the unique decor. The bed was comfortable. The location near the station was good for us since we arrived by train.

The area is a bit run down - as you sometimes find near big railway stations. Fairly expensive, partly because of sterling exchange rate.

Easy walk from main railway station. Breakfast added on was well worth it.

Bathroom too small, always banged our knees against the door when going to toilet. Also, the shower doors did not shut properly, mostly all water came out and flooded the floor.

Central location, various food options very close to the hotel, very close to lake Alster so we could pop by for a run in the morning, bed was comfy and mainly spacious room.
