The only thing I missed a little, and I am sure my wife who does not speak English is the fact that they have no English news and or movie channels.

I was the first time there and will be back with my wife later this year. The bed was for me too small, but I chose the single room with a single bed by myself, so nothing to do with the hotel - I will not repeat this should I again stay there alone. The location is for me just great, in the middle of the woods/park - ideal for walking and bike riding. The restaurant was excellent and exceeded my expectations, not on the low end of the price range of course, but that is justified.

Loved our stay! Gorgeous property in a peaceful location. Free parking. Elevator so you don’t have to carry bags upstairs. Our room was huge, warm and comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very enjoyable, wonderful service and delicious food. Breakfast was set up at the table for you, eggs cooked to order and was a lovely start to the day. We loved meeting Captain, the guest relations dog, he’s gorgeous! Thank you for a lovely evening!

Wifi and room TV need to be very much improved considering there are no other facilities available to hotel guests especially in the evenings.

The satnav sent us down a wooded road, where we had to turn around and get back to the main road to find the correct way to the premises. Better signposting is required, especially for dark Winter months. Small details - there was no working extractor fan in the windowless bathroom, so the room got very steamy when the shower was used. No air conditioning on a very hot day but we were abe to open the windows wide, so it was bearable.

Food and service was excellent. Room clean, nice decor and generous size. The staff very nice and helpful. The location was beautiful.

The fantastic location of the hotel: the hotel is conveniently located for local attractions and close to the main motorway. Our dog loved walkies in the woods, and we had a peaceful, comfortable night's sleep.

So glad we found Elfbuchen. A family owned & run country property just out of Kassel in the beautiful hills. Very close to the Hercules Monument which looks down to Kassel. Hosts very warm and accommodating, rooms lovely, spacious and comfortable and the dinner and breakfast experience absolutely fabulous!! Highly recommend.

No aircon. When we opened the windows it was noisy from the restaurant downstairs.

the silence of the woods is amazing, wonderful terrace for a drink and food, food is great, great wines, parking good, room spacious, lounge deck, great hiking in neighbourhood, Hercules statue 1,5km walk.
