Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Very new, modern and clean Bed & Breakfast. Everything was really perfect and the breakfast fantastic. Very good position close to Bodensee, the center of Wangen is very close, you can find there any kind of restaurant without having to take the car. Very private and covered parking. And all this at a very reasonable price. My sincere compliments to the kind couple running the accommodations Tiziano

Missing accessibility to courtyard. Room didnt have blinds for the window which properly blocked the sun, so the room was very bright for most of the day/evening during summer
Wonderful and kind staff. Great breakfast. An easy walk from town centre. Large room.

It is right on a very busy road with lots of traffic during the night---difficult to sleep with an open window
The room was great and comfortable. The optional breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

Car traffic close to the hotel. That you have to pay for baby bed
Close to motorway, a few minutes walk to city centre which is very beutiful, very nice and service minded staff/owners, parking around hotel and in garage if it’s not full

Huge comfortable room. SUPER friendly and helpful staff (best of our whole vacation). Delicious breakfast for a modest fee featuring GREAT homemade museli yogurt.

The owner himself called me to arrange for my arrival at midnight with my dog, very accomodating, helpful, friendly!!! Everything was perfectly prepared when I arrived, thank you!!!

We had a delightful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, providing a warm haven on a cold winter night. The bed was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the bed was made with two duvets as it common in German hotels and it may be a problem for those who prefer a single duvet for added comfort. The place is close to city center, with its charming bars and restaurants (closing around 11). For those arriving late, a lobby vending machine stocked with beer and snacks proved to be a thoughtful solution. For welcoming bottle of water in the room kudos to the owners. The 24/7 self-check-in and private underground parking added convenience. The staff was not only nice but also incredibly helpful, enhancing the overall positive experience.

Next to a busy road but that’s not the owners fault. Just wear war plugs at night.
So comfortable and welcoming. So organised as when we arrived our room card was waiting in an envelope. Lovely homely touches throughout and felt at home. Loved Bordeaux the wee dog, and the owner was cool as we admired her Porsche tractor and her motorcycle. Great secure garage for our motorcycles

Very clean and thoughtful touches throughout. Attentive, friendly and helpful management. 5-10min walk into town. Lots of parking and late check-in no problem.

With windows open, could hear rumble of traffic - but it is not obtrusive.
Although a self check-in (so no staff in afternoon or evening), I was pleasantly surprised by the quality furnishings, cleanliness and general efficiency. The check-in worked first time, there is a free garage, and it is only 7 minutes walk to the attractive town centre with a range of interesting architecture and restaurants. For the price highly recommended. Address is a little difficult to find as Booking.com only gives the street address - they should give the name as seen from the road.

I checked in at 01:00 in the night and it had 6 degree outside. Two windows were wide open and it was very cold in the room. Staff knew about the check-in time. I got a bad cold now, thank you!

Only the noise from the road was loud, but they kindly provided earplugs if we wanted to sleep with open windows. With the windows closed the noise level was fine.
It was a very good stay for the night.
