The Excelsior Hotel, NO LONGER EXISTS, was transferred to hotel next door, the SISTER HOTEL (which I DID NOT BOOK)?and was NOT INFORMED at time of booking, so WILL NOT be returning to the hotel. Very disappointing to find this out after a long flight from Australia.

No Air Con, we were there on 18-20 July when temperature was unusually very high 37/38 C.

They told that the mini bar free But the mini bar was empty only bottle of water 0.25l In tbe past the mini bar was 2 bottle of water 2 bottle of beer 2 bottle of pepsi 2 bottle of orange juice 1 bottle of sparkling water And refill every day I was an old guest from several years I was chocked

We were two teachers and 6 students and altogether 4 rooms. The single rooms that the teachers got were ok. The two triple rooms that the students got left a lot to be desired. One of the rooms had faulty doors - although locked, the room door opened several centimeters to the corridor so it was somehow loose. The door to the balcony didn't stay closed but slipped open all the time. In the other triple room the faucet was completely green with mould or algae. The room was dusty and the tiling in the bathroom dirty. In the window one of the panes of glass was broken - luckily it was double glazed. There was a lot of traffic noise as a result of the broken window. There was trash under the beds. The rooms were tired and in serious need of renovation. We had a hasty sleepover and had we stayed any longer, we would have asked for rooms that were up to code.

The staff at the reception were friendly and smiling. The breakfast was sufficient but not extremely varied.

Only thing a could fault is the step coming in through the front door. I have a heavy amplifier on a trolly.

I travel by train so the location was perfect. I'm a musician and stayed there once before exactly 3 years before when I'd played in the same pub and I'll be back again, soon.

The hotel was closed and they gave room in another hotel next to it. The room is too old especially the bathroom. They said "free drinks in the minibar" but minibar has only two water bottles.

Perfect location for stop over travellers. The room is spacious and clean.

The room was okay, but nothing at all like the pictures shown when booking it. Also I was promised to receive as part of the booking a welcome drink (for each of us), a platter of fruit, free drinks in the minibar....the only thing we got was a small bottle of water per person. That was disappointing 😕

The free minibar was almost empty. Two bottles of water and one orange juice. Two years ago it was full with coke beer wine and other kind of drinks. Really poor offer the free minibar this way!

Good location, right next to the station. Easy access to the city and the airport. Clean room and bathroom. Both are spacious. Simple breakfast. In the past it was much better. WiFi works well.
