Small bathroom. Room had a balcony, but it is shared with neighbouring room, so people could step over and look right inside our room. Small TV.

Staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean, furniture was little bit on the old side. Room has a traditional key, not a card. Hotel has different restaurants depending on the atmosphere you are looking for. Food was excellent and prepared rather fast. Wifi had strong reception in the room (first floor). Ample supply of power outlets in the room.

breakfast was a little bit dull

The photos provided via Booking do not reflect the status of the hotel accurately .... the hotel is MUCH BETTER than how it is depicted via the photographs. The dining room was exceptionally nice as was our room.

The spa area was very disappointing. The staff had to turn it on every time for me, plus it didn't get any warmer than 60°C. I had booked the suite for two nights, which was okay for me as a solo traveller but for two people, it would have been too small (only one chair, one pillow...)

Location (eifel) is wonderful) and Schleiden is a great place to stay!!

Gemünd doesn't have many restaurants so ate in hotel twice which wasn't a hardship.

A well run quality hotel. Friendly professional staff. Excellent restaurant. Room was well furnished and spotlessly clean. Excellent hiking possibilities nearby

WARNING On 2015 September 26-28 we’ve spent two nights in Hotel Friedrichs in Gemund. It was a disappointment: the room (no 10) was really small. When you open the door it touches the side of the bed. In the bathroom you can barely turn around. It struck us that the room was a lot smaller than the rooms shown on the Booking.com website. When showing the web pictures of the room to the manager (owner?) he — finally — admitted that the web pictures show rooms “de luxe”: “you should have booked the room using the hotel website, and not using Booking.com (… which offers only a single category of rooms)”. No understanding, no apologies, no compensation. If we had known the (small) size of the room (4 stars, 129 Euro per night), we would not have booked it. It is like Volkswagen diesel all over: promise a lot and deliver a lot less.

The bathroom is much too small, definitely not adequate for older people. Getting into and out of the shower is even dangerous. Only one chair in the room.

The 'plastic' mattress protection underneath the sheets, which made us sweat at night.

A nicely renovated and decorated hotel. Very cosy room. Above expectation in this small town.

This is a very traditional hotel in a very quiet village. It has a restaurant which seems popular with old people. Nothing much to do in the hotel or the town. I was last here 30 years ago, when stationed at Vogelsang, and the town seemed livelier then. Gemund seems to have lost all it's younger people in that time!

Nothing really that outstanding. The check- in/out was the most efficient.

Only one chair in room, and that was a hard upright. Paying for WIFI is a NoNo. Very little breakfast left at 0830 ..... the ravening hordes had ravened.

OK for a transit stop, which was the intention. Not much choice in the area, so would use it again but only for a one-night stay.

The room had a small Window that did not allow too much air to run through. In the toilet it seemed the fan was not working (note we did not call the reception to ask). The bed was actually 2 small beds not so confortable.

The parking space was free, the room was clean and staff was friendly. Location is quite good if you like Walking in the nature or proximity to the national park.

The staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The renovations are very tasteful and restaurant was superb (we are there both nights and chose the 4 gang menu). A real treat - would love to come back next time we are in the Eifel.
