Breakfast consisted of excellent, freshly baked bread rolls which had to be ordered the night before. One day I forgot to order and had to go without. My fault, but without a car, the next source of food was a half hours walk away!

Lovely apartment on quiet, pleasant campsite, just on the outskirts of Freiburg. The gardens were very attractive and the whole place was clean and well maintained. Forest walks and biking trails nearby.

Everything was super clean and nice. You can enjoy a good coffee in a very nice garden. Perfect location for MTB, Freiburg trails as well as exploring the city! Biking is also highly recommended, as it's very difficult to park in the city. Prices are on the higher side, but that seems to be the standard for the area.

The location is a bit far from downtown but it has parking and 15min walk to a tram.

This stay was out of season and the cafe is closed . It’s a 10 min walk to the shops. The room would have benefited with a kettle being available . A vending machine would help

The door has a semi transparent glass which allowed light from the hallway coming through.. it has woke me up a few times during the night. But if you choose the standard double room it shouldn't have this problem because the door has a different design. No shampoo/toiletries except a handwash

If you want to get the real rates the guest house advertises, do not book through any apps - contact the guest house directly! We paid 11€ more than the "superior double room" price, but only got a standard room. Unfortunately we were not able to determine this until our actual stay.

Guest house is very homey, cosy, clean and the staff are very friendly and professional. It's pretty close to the surrounding nature and the "Waldcafe" had some really yummy cakes and offered tarte flambée as well. Internet was just ok.

Pillows were too thick and matras was way too soft. No shower gel and shampoo available. There was a shortage of parking places. We booked the hotel as stopover on the way, but it was too far away from the highway and we could only drive this way at a speed of 30km.

Not much about the negatives. There is bike hire on the premise if you don’t come with a car or don’t want to use the car to get around. The pillows were very thick and sleeping for a bit uncomfortable for the neck. You would have to bring your own pillows if you don’t like thick bulky pillows.

The location is almost perfect (if there is a bus stop or tram stop nearby), not isolated but still quiet in the wood and lake Waldsee and a very good restaurant with a beer garden, excellent affordable quality tasty food within walking distance. Staff was very friendly, the double room was so spacious, so clean, simple yet tastefully decorated, a large bathroom, spacious shower, interior of everything was very new too (probably recently renovated). There is a cafe, part of the guest house that serves simple tasty breakfast, which can be pre ordered on the night before. Coffee was excellent! Jam was homemade. You can sit outside to have your breakfast too. A camping ground is part of the facility. They didn’t disturb us at all, very civilised and everything was very well maintained and clean!

The cafe was closed :). This was a problem for breakfast, so I had to go into town . The distance to the train station - it's about 12 min walk to the train station (no buses) , so if you have big bags/backpack the walk will be a problem.

I love the Gueshouse and the gentleman who helped me was amazingly friendly. The place is super clean, great wifi and quiet. This was one of the best receptions in a while. I had missed the email with my code for the key and panicked because my train was late but he was so calm and professional He helped me 200% of the way in a friendly and kind manner. Thanks for that. I would reccomend this place for sure.

No public transport. The shower spills water into the bathroom and forms a pool. No proper curtains so there was too much light coming from outside. No elevator, stairs only. A friend had another reservation and they didn’t provide the keys or instructions for late check in and we called several times but nobody picked up the phone. She had to book another hotel.

The rooms are spacious and is a nice area. Heating worked well.

It was 10 min driving away from the city and had to pay always for parking, but it was worth it.

The staff was very friendly and gave us very valuable recommendations and always free parking available.
