Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdoma bigger double duvet would have been great!
Close to Blissestrasse U-bahn. Not really a hotel, more a series of letting rooms. My room was plain but with comfy bed, kettle, clean and modern shower room - clean shared loo a few doors down the landing. Good VFM. No breakfast option but cafes, restos (good Vietnamese resto just around the corner), kneipes, bakeries, supermarkets etc within a few metres.

BelgiumThere was no desk for doing work. If you arrive late, there is no staff around and I could not find the lockbox until someone staying at the hotel pointed it out to me. In the morning, to check out, the staff person was not around and I had to search for him to return the key, delaying my checkout.
The location was perfect for where I needed to go for meetings the next day. The room was comfortable and clean.

Czech RepublicNice spacious room, tiny bathroom, but everything was really clean. Old house with nice atmosphere, lovely lady at the reception desk. Great value for the money, we will probably stay here next time we are in Berlin!

CanadaThe noise outside on Friday early am (7:10) - the courtyard amplified sounds and with open window they were disturbing to our sleep.
Good location, including easy access to Ubahn, bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants in the neighbouhood. The hotel staff was very accommodating for our late arrival and made it easy for us to gain access

United KingdomUnfortunately the showers were not so good. I suspect due to the age of the building, the plumbing needs to be updated. It was hot and then cold and sometimes hot enough to cause a burn.
Could not complain for the cost. It was comfortable, spacious and had lots of natural light.

PolandThe staircase and corridor made a bit worse impression than the room, but the room is important after all. The door of the room could also absorb sounds better, since we could hear welll the sounds from the corridor. We were a bit disappointed because of lack of any good place to store bikes.
The hotel is well located in western Berlin, in quiet street but close to main streets and public transport (U-Bahn, S-Bahn). The 2-people room had a lot of space, since it was quite big and had high ceiling, also big window. Comfortable, big bed and a very nice, comfortable couch. The bathroom arranged in a simple, a bit old-fashoned way, but comfortable. Everything very clean. The personnel was friendly.

AustriaAbove us lived very loud people, they ran across their apartment all the time and screamed, even late at night. I don’t know if they actually lived there or were just on vacation. But it was really annoying, my boyfriend and I are shy so we didn’t say anything to tjhe staff.
It was cheap but the room they gave us was really pretty and clean!

United StatesProperty did not have an elevator and required opening three doors with finicky locks to enter your flat. Older styles rooms but this added to the property’s charm.
Property was near local public transportation and some very nice restaurants.

GermanyWhen we arrived the check in area was closed and we had to call the receptionist, who told us to take the keys from a shop next to the hotel and the same thing happened for the check out, as we gave the keys to the cleaning lady. So it would have been better to recieve a proper welcome from the staff (also because we arrive at 17, so it wasn't late night). Also the bed wasn't very comfortable, since we were expecting a double bed, instead they were two single bed joined one close to the other.
The room is spacious and extremly clean. The hotel is 4/5 mins walking to the bus and U-bahn stop, which is great since it's not straight in the city center.

GermanyNo fridge in room, but definitely not a deal breaker.
The room was large with high ceilings so the heat could rise, the windows opened all the way and could let the air circulate, which was great in the middle of summer. Water pressure in the bathroom was great. The provided soap and shampoo was nice and left my hair and skin feeling soft, even the toilet paper was quality. Good, non expensive location within a few minutes walk to the U7 and a 24/6 Edeka (closed on Sundays). I could get to everywhere in Berlin I needed to within 30-40 minutes. Very unobtrusive staff, but available to answer questions and help if needed.

United KingdomThe room was very dated. The whole place could do with a makeover. The bed wasn't hugely comfortable and could have used extra pillows but for what we paid it wasn't too bad. It didn't have a kettle or anything available in the room which was disappointing. The other occupants were very loud in the mornings and evenings. All in all though if you just want a place to sleep after a day/night in berlin its not a bad place to go.
The room was tidy, it's was good value for money as we were travelling on a budget. Had excellent transport links to the city so we had no issues getting out to see everything Berlin had to offer

TurkeyThe stuff is definitely so rude!!! The reception girl was so nice but there was a guy and I think he is the new owner of the property, he is definitely so rude. we wanted to check out at 7.45 am and wanted to let our luggages to the hotel. Because they sent an email on the day just before you leave and they said you can leave your luggage to the hotel. So we went to the reception but no ones open the door, it’s totally closed. So we went back to our room and left our luggages. Cause we had time and we had something to do at the city center. So we sent an email and explained the situation and we left the hotel. When we came back to the hotel, like 1 pm we saw this guy and he greeted us very rudely!!! He said that we certainly could not leave our belongings at the hotel, that we had to take them with us. He didn't even know about the e-mail they sent us and he literally yelled at us. It was really awful. Also, the cleaning is no so good as written!!! Ok, the bathroom was clean, the sheets are clean but don’t be fool by the clean sheets. We saw the white quilt inside the sheets, and they are like never cleaned before!!! They are so dirty and the color is almost brown!!! And when we came to the reception on the first day, a cockroach was crawling on the reception desk. So, we tottaly do not recommend it.
