The Hotel has a smoking room next to the restaurant and there is no door separating the two. You have to walk through the smoking room to get to your room. The hallway smells with smoke. People smoke on the balcony so that the smoke gets into the room and into the non-smoking section of the restaurant. I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff is friendly, great view in the evening, close to Lörrach and Basel. Food at the restaurant was good.

No air conditioning in room, but did not matter as weather not hot,

The breakfast and the restaurant it was served in were excellent, with beautiful views of the garden. Boiled eggs tasty and just right, good selection of cooked meats and cheese. Staff very helpful went out of their way.

Draining the sink was clogged and so water accumulated in the sink. Taking into consideration amazing style of room and newly renovated facilities this spoiled good impression. Anyway if I would stay longer than one night, I am sure the hotel would fix it asap - so technically not a big issue

nice place with good repair, nice breakfast, friendly staff, great view, cozy balcony

Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday - not mentioned on Booking.com. Car is essential as bus service is only hourly and not at all on Sundays. €15 taxi to Lorrach.

    Comfortable. Scenic location.

Excellent room, very clean, beautifully refurbished and gorgeous views! Very comfortable beds, plenty of room for the 4 of us and a huge bathroom. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food both at dinner and breakfast was fantastic and it was very good value for money! I would really recommend the small detour up the hill for this gem!

The room was right by the entrance where the door was screeching every single time it was opened and closed. As it was located at the top of the stairs you could hear every word that was being said and the other guests conversation was not to be overheard from the balcony's side either. As well as the shower which was leaking and the bathroom was under water after having a shower.

The room came with a great view and was big enough for one person

It was not handicap accessible. Your booking .com filters did not work! I marked for a hotell that was handicapp accessible!, However you game this hotel as a choice. They tried to reach us, but we were already in route. At any rate, I blame you and not the hotel. They were very hospitable.

Very nice staff. The location is not the best, because it was for us a bit outside, but the rooms are big, clean and with nice bath. Very nice buffet which costed only EUR 5.-- ! It was a nice surprise and we would recommend it!

The only downside was the price of the evening dinner which we found to be expensive.

Room clean and comfortable bed. Lovely views from the dining room over the countryside. The breakfast was excellent and we had an omelette prepared to order. The service was efficient and friendly.

Recommended to have a room away from the street, which has a lot of traffic .

The hardworking young owners are sincere and professional, giving our stay a very personal note. Lots of loving details make the surroundings exceptional, that, coupled with best service and an interesting price, makes this establishment a stay again choice

On the border with Switzerland this family run hotel/guesthouse offers a peaceful location with stunning views across vineyards towards the city of Basle. Possible to walk for 20 to 30 minutes through the vineyards across the border to the Beyler Museum and to take the frequent number 2 and 6 trams into the central City. Excellent restaurant and of course Euro prices rather than Swiss Francs!

No blind on the toilet but I think the room was brand new.

Views were amazing, we had a roof top balcony and the room was so spacious and modern. We had an enormous bathroom and we arrived late and everyone was so friendly and they arranged dinner even though the kitchen was closed.
