Staff were friendly and the food and drink good. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Had a really nice traditional German feel to the place and I felt very comfortable working in the bar in the evenings. Really good value for money.

Except the receptionist, no english speakers... but we managed just fine.

Excellent location, a small bavarian town. Verry quiet, a warm shower, confortable bed and a good breakfast was exactly what we needed. The staff was nice.

I always find it annoying when the wi-fi service is available with a separate charge, even if cheap (2 EUR/day). German (down) pillows

A carefully mantained nineteenth-century coaching inn, very typical but with all the necessary: lift, excellent wi-fi, beer garden, fine typical restaurant -excellent dinners, good value for money- with waitresses in traditional costume (not maudlin, it is the norm there). Menu in German/English. Easy parking in the nearby streets. Very quiet, thanks to very thick walls and low propensity to ruckus of the Germans...

You have to pay 2 euros for the wifi in the room, which in itself is not a problem, but I had to go to the corridor to have a good reception and still, the network was slow.

I liked the restaurant, the location of the hotel is sympa, it is a nice place to stay in overall.

Parking is very challenging. You can not get into the parking lot behind the hotel due to construction with an average size car given how narrow the back street is. When people park at an angle behind the hotel it creates more room for parking. It might be better if the hotel painted parking spaces back there so people parked at an angle.

The hotel is perfectly located and great for hosting events. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. The cost is perfect and the food was delicious. Their pumpkin soup is amazing.

    No complaints

Pets are free, beds are great, parking is right across the street, hotel has an old antique theme which is absolutely wonderful. Great price and lovely staff.

Outdated and unpersonal rooms, quality of the bed and the sheets was poor. Not extremely clean. Staff at the reception was rather unpleasent. We booked a room for 3 persons, but the third bed was not ready and not made up. The lady who helped doing this (from the cleaning staff I assume), was very helpfull and pleasent.

We have a little bit communications problems in English language with some of staff members. The hotel don’t provide free WIFI in all rooms, you have to buy separately. The books reading lights in the room was slightly weak.

The hotel is in very quiet place, in the village centre. There are a lot of hunters’ style decorations. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge, with hairdryer. The hotel has a lift, two entrances. The staff is very polite, contributory and reliable. Great quality and price deal.

Personally, I don't agree to much all that creepy stuffed animals around, maybe because I would rather prefer them alive. The cleaning days should be a nightmare for the one in charge with. :-)

It was my first stay at Zur Post. Even if I've booked single room, at hotel I have been accommodated in a triple room, probably for building heating efficiency. But who cares? A lot of space for me and a big hug for the owners. So, a big room, nice traditional interior design with a lot of old Bavarian stuff hanging on the walls, creating an comfortable and intimate feel. The breakfast is quite good and various and the coffee too. Hotel clerks and cleaning personnel is very efficient but in a discreet manner so you have plenty of intimacy. There are few parking places in front of the hotel but considering the tightness of the alley and the occasional traffic , I would recommend the use of the alternative parking place, which is just across the hotel and offer enough space and safety for your car. Summarizing, if you have the opportunity to stay at Zur Post, do not miss. It would be a good choice and you will not regret, for sure.

The sink in the bathroom is ridiculously small, could not brush my teeth or wash my face without splashing water around. Head lamp must be more powerful, I could not read with that dim light.

Smallest hotel room I have ever seen, specialy for two. And that single pillow ... Oh, and you have to pay for that free wifi 2€/day :3

Restaurant was good quality and value for money- We ate here about a year ago and enjoyed it hence we decided to stay next time we were passing

Real German hotel. Quiet village, but beautiful to have a walk around. Close by the highway which is perfect if you use the hotel just for a night over. There's a real good Greek restaurant in the street at the back of the hotel. A nice garden where you can sit. The lamb dish was fabulous!

Should offer free WiFi in the guest rooms. WiFi is an extra 2€ per device for 24 hours. For that price, it should just add it to the room cost.

No lighting in parking area. Entering from the parking area at the rear of the building requires walking thru the smoking area.
