Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I like the style of the hotel and also that it is in the middle of a forest, while still being in walkable distance to restaurants

United StatesThere was no iron or fridge in the room. We traveled with a baby, so it would have been helpful to store his food. We were asked to pay for parking, but no one monitored it, so we needed to unpack our entire car just for a one night stay. You need to bring your own toiletries.
The rooms were very clean. They provided a baby crib free of charge. The hotel is located in a very quiet area which was a huge plus for us. There is a nice restaurant located on the premises.

AustraliaTwo beds were folding stretcher beds for 2 adults. Quite comfortable for me as a 6 ft 8 inch man. No tea and coffee making facilities in room. We are from Australia and its normal for this to be abailable in any accommodation.
Staff helped us get a family room for an extra night when we arrived a day too soon. All staff we emcountered were excellent.

United KingdomI booked the hotel as I liked the look of the bar/restaurant. Unfortunately, it was closed on Sundays. Perhaps I didn't read it in the description? However, the gentlemen at reception recommended an Italian close by which was excellent! Thx again.

BelgiumThis hotel has many high points, but there’s a few downsides. Parking: The hotel does have parking but at a price of 5 euros a day with maybe 15 spots. There are spots available on the other side of the hotel but currently have things and items in the way making it inaccessible. There is parking on the street but you may have to walk a little. Events: It’s a hotel, events will happen on a Friday/Saturday but do not expect the noise to be done at 2300. The dj below our room was cranking up the crowd at 0100. Downside made for a very long day drive the next day. Ask if there are any particular things happening when you are staying. It also made us park far due to parking overload which wasn’t pleasant. Rooms: The rooms should come with a fan or an air conditioning system. I couldn’t imagine the heat during mid-summer nights. The beds could get upgraded to newer mattresses and pillows would need an upgrade as well. Mini-Fridge doesn’t work.
Loved the look, fully renovated with a wonderful staff! Very welcoming as you show up to the front desk. Very informative information about your stay. The place is well located ( outskirts of Berlin, closer to the airport). The restaurant was amazing, great for kids as well. The breakfast was on point. Full German breakfast with many types of breads, meats, eggs, yogurt, juices and many more. For Supper, very small menu but very good food. quick and efficient. The restaurants patio and multi-level floors gave it a cool factor. The bowling alley was amazing! Kids really enjoyed it, not too expensive and very private making a fun party for the family. There is a way to order drinks easily with the use of a vacuum tube system. The family room was great, separate rooms gave it some some privacy that was good. Did not have to worry about talking to loud. the rooms were renovated. Internet was fast, no issues there.

United KingdomBut that is really all. Arrived late afternoon on Good Friday. There was no staff there. Literally no staff. The collection of the key via a key safe worked but once we were in the hotel that was it. Nothing was open. No bar, no restaurant, nothing. I had looked forward to dinner but nothing. There is a restaurant called Waldkater 20 min walk away but they were fully booked. That did not leave any options really. We had to drive to Waltersdorf and got our dinner at McDonald's. Have not been in one for decades. But heyho. It would have be good to know prior to booking that there is NOBODY in the hotel and that there will be no food on offer. I would have booked somewhere else instead. The breakfast was average. The one person who was serving in the restaurant or better not serving and just pointing at things was busy with I don't know what. There was no customer service at all.
Location was ok as it was close to some friends we wanted to see. To make you aware that the parking overnight was 10 Euros.

United StatesFind another hotel! This place needs updating. The rooms have no ventilation and NO AIR CONDITIONING. If you leave the window open for a bit of air, the bugs will eat you alive. The green area doesn’t allow for a breeze. No desk personnel after 2100hrs so hopefully you don’t need anything. No refrigerator, no iron, very basic hotel considering the price. Again, please listen to me when I tell you to find another place to stay. I would’ve like to stay at Pentahotel (now hotel berlin) but they were booked so I had to settle on this dump.
