We used two rooms and one was like in the pictures, the other one was like a tiny apartment. There is no lift (elevator), take care if you need to move your luggage to a second floor room. Using the garage is a bit tricky, no much room even for a VW Golf, just usable, only one car door can be open after parked. You need to walk back to return the garage key every time you use it. A bit awkward if you are alone and need to lock the car in the middle of the sidewalk to return the key, and pick it up at reception when coming back.

Staff was friendly and spoke English. The place is quiet, breakfast was OK. We must say that we have been provided with lactose -free products for breakfast as requested, very kind from the staff!

I have asked about something for vegans for breakfast and only peanut butter and some vegetables were provided... It was noisy in the room due to specific of its placement (you hear every door slam of your neighbor).

What should be improved is definitely a sound isolation. When you sleep in your room you can even hear the alarm clock from the room next to you. The bathrooms in the rooms do not have a locker which is also not very comfy. And the food choice for breakfast could be a bit wider :) But in general, it is a good value for money. Thank you!

This hotel is very cosy - every part of it has some small sculptures, candles and other small elements that help you feel like home! It also has a nice inner yard and garden which is perfect for spending evenings. Wifi is working properly in all the rooms, and the staff is really very polite and friendly. Another perk is location close to the old city centre. The hotel has a paid garage but at the nearby streets it is easy to find a free parking place.

Flights of stairs up to the room. Not an issue for us but could be for others (but there are more accessible rooms available.) A little awkward to find first time.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Excellent continental breakfast, available for extensive hours. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good wifi. Excellent local transport deals. Immediate area is quite pleasant.

Nice family run hotel with friendly and helpful owner. Nice room at back of garden with a slight moist garden smell. The big advantage of this room was that it was very quiet and I could sleep with the windows open. Free internet WiFi worked well. The breakfast buffet was nice with sufficient choices and a possibility to boil your egg.

There was no air-conditioning in the summer months which can be a bit discomforting. The saving grace, the reception offered us use of a table fan during our stay there.

Very convenient location in Dusseldorf. All the touristy area are within 1.5km radius. The staff was super even offering us the details like the street parking are almost fine-free as the authority are seldom out giving tickets. We parked on the street in front of the hotel free and stress free .

Beware if carrying large amount of luggage: 1. No lift access to upper floors .2. Rooms are fairly low on storage space. Though staff very helpful in moving luggage to room. It's on a busy one way side street, on which street parking may be a challenge. Only 3 allotted car (tight) park spaces in chargable underground parking nearly opposite hotel entrance. Some room windows look out onto street which can get noisy in early morning.

Despite being located down a small side street, the location gives easy access by foot or public transport to the main central areas of Duesseldorf. The staff are very willing and helpful, and the room/ bathroom clean - if a little cramped for space ( typical small city room). Breakfast in a bright environment meets expectations for such a hotel.

The Rate per night was very expensive, more than EUR 200.- and the Hotel didn´t even had an Elevator and I was on the 3rd Floor of the Hotel! Every morning when I went don{t to the breakfast area they run out of salmon and the Manager said to me that since the Salmon was fresh it was not enough until 10:00 AM!

I liked the location of the Hotel close to Shopping Stores and the Alstadt. Also the night manager was a nice person and always trying to help.

The staff, family owned, are very sweet and friendly. The hotel is definitely older, not nearly as modern looking as pictured... but they are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is VERY basic with the typical meats, cheeses, yogurts, breads, and a boiler that cooks your soft/hard boiled eggs the way you'd like them. It's about a 10+ minute walk to old town (we are active people, so it was no problem for us, but might be for some), The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. It was a pleasant stay in a simple accommodation. Contrary to what other people wrote, we had excellent wifi.

My room was on the first floor and even though it overlooked the street it proved to be nice and quiet. It seemed like the room had been recently refurbished and everywhere was clean especially the shower room. The hotel is only 15 mins slow walk from the station and not so far to all the attractions.
