The ski boot warmer wasn't working. The underground garage is "tight", take care.

Good central location, over the square from the train station (walkable to the Zugspitzbahn). A short walk to central pedestrian zone of Garmisch, a slightly longer walk to Lügwigsstrasse and all that Partenkirchen has to offer. Underground parking. Ski/boot room (but the boot warmers were not on).

The huge problem was that our room was basically dangerous. There was no way to open a window so you had to open the balcony doors except there were no balconies. This would have been OK if there had been something to prevent you from falling out, like it was in the room my brother and sister-in-law got but in our case, there was nothing. Basically just a drop down from third floor (which is practically fourth floor since Germans count the first floor up as the first floor. Someone had put a piece of wood to try to make sure no one opended the door too much but that wood was lose and could easily be pushed to the side. We were told by staff that this had been like this for over a year - maybe longer. Why on earth do they not cover this up like in all the other rooms that did not have a balcony? The hotel must be liable if something happened. What if someone who sleepwalks stays in this room? For a place that is overall very good, it seems like an unbelievable stupidness to leave the room unsecure like this.

The breakfast was really good, the location was great and the overall stay was positive.

Gym only opens at 9 am which is far too late. Ideally would like the gym open from 6 am so that could get a workout or run on the threadmill before breakfast

Poor bicycle cabinet, no locker or any other form of proper access control. Not acceptable for expensive bikes. To clean and unpersonal environment. Technically totally fine but so unpersonal. Dining room very load, architecture has flaws and no measures taken to reduce noise levels, i. e. proper ceiling. At a total expected price of 230, which is a lot, there should not be anything left to complain.
