Room - was pretty decent, however neighborhood was a bit noisy and - house keeping staff failed to provide clean towels on one day.

Had breakfast one of the 4 nights I stayed there. Good choices. Location - not far from the old town center and good walk. Cannot complain.

Clean and nice hotel with quality rooms. The beds were good and the toilet was clean. The room was of pretty good size for 2 adults. Welcoming and friendly staff.

Very gloomy lighting in the room. Only the bathroom had decent lighting. Overpriced breakfast. There was a large choice of items many of which appeared to be home made but looked far too sweet for me. The quality of the rest didn’t justify the price (rock hard avocado, solid fried egg).

Good location close to old town. Good parking with a reasonable charge. Large room with comfortable beds and good shutters on the windows to exclude street lights. Nice touch was the free cookies at the front desk. All the desk staff were young and friendly.

Wonderful modern clean hotel right next to the medieval city walls. Has own parking. Easy access. Breakfast was exceptional with an endless variety, even an American pancake machine. Highly recommended.

We only found out you could ask for a kettle in the room on the last day.

Excellent location at the top of the old town and near a tram stop, the best evening bars were at the top of the old town. Clean rooms and nice free snack cakes at the reception. Very good value as well. Fridge and safe in the room. Supermarket is 5 mins walk from the hotel and my tip would be to ask for a kettle and then pop to the supermarket for teabags and milk!

Smoking smell in the room, bad ( super soft) pillows. I used two pillows and still felt like I am sleeping without one. very bad breakfast ( expensive, tasteless and very modest variety)

Nice hotel near the center. It's on the other side of the city center from the main train station. But all is walkable distance. We were there for the Christmas market period, and what we liked about this hotel was the little kind gestures, like the tasty home made cookies and nice warm gluwein that were available for us to take all day!

The location was excellent and very close to the historic and commercial center of Nürnberg, basically five minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet street. The room was furnished with great elegance, the bed and the extra bed we required were both comfortable. The bathroom and toilet facilities were modern and the room was clean. The selection of breakfast was wonderfully rich, great selection of salami, meat, cheese, great variety of pastries. The staff at the reception and the dining room were polite, efficient and very helpful. Parking at the back of the hotel was convenient. All in all, Hotel Burgschmiet is a great place to stay and value for money.

Hotel was across the street from the old town. Walked to the christmas market every evening. Plenty of restaurants and shopping very close. Parking on site for a fee. Great breakfast buffet. Staff was very nice and helpful.

This place was a delight. The hotel is walkable to the old walled city of Nurburg. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room and bed were comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We only stayed one night here because we were visiting various Christmas markets. If I have the opportunity to visit Nurburg again; I will unquestionable be staying here again.

The only thing we didn’t like was that our first room, which was at the front of the hotel, was quite loud with noise from the nearby road / tramline. Even though it was December, we wanted to sleep with the window open but then the noise disturbed us, even with earplugs in … but then I’m quite sensitive to noise when sleeping. The staff at reception were very happy to swap us to another room for our 2nd and 3rd nights at the back of the hotel which was considerably quieter and we slept better as a result. This second room was actually much larger but we weren’t charged more which was kind.

My wife and I agreed that we’ve never been to a hotel that has got so many things right! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (including switching us without quibbling to a room at the back of the hotel after we found our initial room at the front too loud with road noise), everything was clean and felt very modern, the room was very well furnished and had everything we needed, including things as simple as having enough hooks for hanging coats in the main room, and washbags and towels in the bathroom — something which many hotels seem to overlook. The bed was very large and comfortable and had a memory foam mattress (we think), there were plenty of other comfortable chairs in the room, the TV was large and modern, and the WiFi speed was great. The highlight was the breakfast which was incredible! There was so much choice, from both local specialities, German specialities as well as continental staples. Everything tasted very fresh and was constantly renewed as things ran out. Oh and there were even free freshly-cooked cookies on the reception desk every day, as well as free Glühwein in a heated urn! Honestly, this was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in, and we must have stayed in dozens over the years!

Parking space could use some improvements, it is a bit too small, if you have big car, it could give you an headache.
