The area outside the hotel was filled with trash blowing around. This is very strange considering Hamburg Hbf is so close to the hotel.

Ít was a very pleasant experience. The receptionist was very kind and helpful during the whole stay and even offered to print our train tickets for us free of charge. If you can overlook the for some reason somewhat trash filled street outside (which is not the hotel's fault) it is truly a great place to stay. The hotel rooms are very clean with a 1980s era decor and the hotel is located just a few hundred meters from Hamburg Hbf

You have to pay 3 euros to use the safe. You have to take the stairs to reach the elevator and the elevator doesn’t stop at the floor of rooms. You also have to take the stairs to reach them. It doesn’t come handy when you have a luggage. There’s no AC in the room. There’s no privacy. You can see the other rooms from the window, walls are too thin you can hear when the next door people are showering or flushing the toilet. The hairdryer is super bad, even for a hotel hairdryer (which is usually bad), this one is just noise and dust. The hotel is in a very bad neighborhood, shady deals, prostitutes on the street next to the entrance door.

The rooms are clean, the hotel offers shampoo.

A narrow long flight of stairs before you get to the elevator on a split floor level. Receptionist also refused to help us with our luggages. Not great for female travellers. The hotel is rather old and its cupboards and furniture are rather old-fashioned too.

It's a short 5-minute roll-out from the Hamburg central station. Bus terminal is nearby too. Easy to connect around. Hotel seems to be in a middle-eastern district with many shops offering a myriad of food and wares. We booked a twin room and got a triple room instead and that was a pleasant surprise and bonus.

There is a weird policy where you have to hand in your room key whenever you go outside. It was not clear to me why this was necessary and it added a slight inconvenience.

Amazing price for a hotel that is a 5 minute walk from the main station. Although the neighborhood does feature prostitutes and other crazy people, the street does not feel unsafe at all. Besides, you only walk through it for 2 minutes to get to the hotel. There is also a supermarket directly opposite to the hotel and an ATM next door, although it is often blocked by a street market stall. There are plenty of places to get food in the same street as well.

    - One of the shower doors was broken. - No power sockets in the private bathroom. - In the room, power sockets only next to one of the two beds. - No shutters to the three windows in the room. This makes impossible to sleep from dawn on. It's simply incredible that the staff didn't think of installing shutters. - Safe deposit box too small and also not for free. - The street in which the hotel stands. It's full of ugly, suspicious and shady faces, as well as prostitutes. It is so packed with weirdos that it is somewhat caricatural and grotesque. If you're a girl (or a group of girls, for that matter), I would not venture for the world into this street. As for the men, well, just walk with your eyes wide open and leave the street as quickly as possible.

    - Wi-Fi working reasonably well. - Room very spacious and comfy. - Private bathroom equipped with hairdryer. - Many hangers in the wardrobe. - Very close to the main station (like a three-minute walk). - One last thing: I've read several reviews where people were complaining about the unbeareable steepness of the stairs at the entrance. Come on! It's a bit ungenerous and picky!

I reserved and prepaid breakfast via booking.com, which was confirmed on check-in, but on check-out they insisted to charge me for breakfast again! I didn't pay, of course, and they threatened to charge my credit card; whether or not they will, I don't know. As I told them, it's not so much about the money as it is about the principle. During the night, the back-lit sign boards from the shops across the street illuminated my room through the curtains, troubling me to fall asleep. Some blackout blinds wouldn't hurt. That doesn't imply I wouldn't have liked a bit of light before going to sleep; the night lights alongside the bed were both broken, as well as one of the shower doors. The reception and 'ground floor' of the hotel is on the first floor of the building, as well as the (tiny) elevator, requiring you to walk at least two flights of stairs. As the elevator only stops on the staircase landing between floors, unless you're on the same floor as the reception, you'll be taking even more stairs to get to your room. The hallway to my room was lit merely by an emergency exit sign, forcing me to allow my eyes to adjust after coming out of the well-lit stairwell before being able to see the keyhole of my room door. The neighborhood is shady at best, but this is inevitable near the main station. As I walked up to the hotel door I was (not too intrusively, in her defense) inquired about my interest in a blowjob or sex. It's certainly a multi-cultural area, which doesn't bother me personally, but it definitely stood out.

Shelter, a bed and breakfast was provided, so in the end, it got the job done. The room, sheets and towels were acceptably clean and the free wi-fi was very usable!

Walls must have been thin as I easily heard voices through neighbouring rooms and people walking in the halls. My room was situated next to the kitchen which was noisy several times a day - didn't get to sleep in. Stairway up to reception - not great if you're lugging heavy bags. Street outside fills with sifty characters at night.

Situated 5mins walk from both Central bus exchange and Central train station makes it a great location to set out from. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom is really tiny but had a decent shower. The breakfast is worth getting, unfortunately it costs more in the morning than pre-paying earlier. There are a few shops down the street for food and groceries.

The hotel is very close to the Main Train Station (5min walk,) but the area that surround the hotel is pretty scary, keep in mind that you might get harassed on your way to the hotel. The higher the room the worst the Wifi. We couldn't connect at all in our room because it was on the last floor but the connection was good in the lobby. The room was very clean but when we first went in the bathroom there was a used Q-tip in the bin, not sure about that.

The staff were very nice and can speak good english in case you needed any help. The heating system works too well, it was very nice to come back to a warm room after a long cold day.

The room was noisy as it was in the centre of the city, and there were lots of people milling around. I didn't feel very safe, so wouldn't recommend it for a woman travelling alone.
