The hotel is located in an industrial/commercial area but has the appearance of an Alpine hut. The rooms are new and functional; the furnishings are typical of a refuge with wood everywhere. It is possible to park on the street or in the garage. Good Wi-Fi. Good value for money

The Almwirt is a great place to stay in Haar. Convenient for the S-bahn and local businesses while also being a friendly and welcoming place for a relaxing evening.

The things I didn't like our out of control of the Hotel, parking is on the main road outside and you can hear the traffic from the road, thick windows muffled most of the traffic noise, and it bother me.

The road in front of the hotel is pretty noisy, so sleeping with the windows open is a challenge.

Lovely and stylish rooms and nice ambience overall. The restaurant downstairs is also great. Staff are very friendly and relaxed.

No open parking space, you have to park on the public road, the place is very safe though. Private parking available but expensive

There seemed to be a mix up with booking.com. I had put in the details of my 2 children as I wanted a family room but only got a room set up for 1 person. It wasn’t a problem as only had 1 child with me. Need to watch the street traffic noise in summer when a window is open. However these were very minor things overall.

Overall a very nice hotel. Rooms have been very nicely renovated with a modern take on the Landhaus style. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a continental style with very good coffee. Staff couldn’t be nicer and gave me a good tip on paying Austrian Tolls online

The reception closes at 10 PM. This limitation is not explicit on the Booking.com site, and although my original flight would have gotten me there in plenty of time, there was a delay and I was worried that I would arrive after they closed. When I phoned, they could provide no solution for that, just told me they close at 10 (possibly a bit later but they could not promsie). Fortunately, passport control and baggage claim were quick and by catching a quick taxi I made it here in time. But otherwise would have needed to pay for night in hotel I did not use and stay at an airport hotel.

This is a small hotel in old building but has been renovated nicely. Room was comfortable. I attended a conference which was about a 15 minute walk away so location was fine.

The staff guy when we arrived wasn’t super friendly but to be fair we did arrive a few hours early and he was kind enough to let us into our room. We were told breakfast was not included even though on the website it said it was.

We had a fabulous dinner in the restaurant there. The location was perfect for us because our daughter lives in Haar. Very close to the stores of Haar

Although it was advertised that it is possible to lend ironing machines, I could not do so when needed The staff seemed a bit clumsy and confused but overall very friendly and ready to help

I liked my room very much, from cleaness to design. Although it was facing the main road, the noise did not bother me that much (almost did not notice it)

We chose this property because we had a car. It was on the outskirts of the city and it stated “free onsite parking” so we wouldn’t have the hassle of city parking. When we arrived, I ran inside to ask where to park. The girl said to go in the garage. No mention of a fee or mention of street parking. Long story short, they charged us $15 to park. When we mentioned that is stated “free onsite parking”, they said it was free street parking. Street parking is not onsite parking. I’m looking through the informational flyer in the room. It states parking is $13. They made us pay $15. I mention that to the front desk and there was no attempt to remedy it. Conveniently, the manager/owner was on vacation. I know it’s not a ton of money but I really just felt like they pulled a fast one and I was being taken advantage of. After we got settled, we had a drink at the restaurant. When we asked for the check, the waitress quoted a price. I handed her a larger bill. She did not return all the change. When I questioned her about it, she actually said she assumed I would give her a tip. Excuse me? You don’t just take money from people! It seemed like they were constantly scamming us. Also, the room was facing a very busy street. It’s extremely noisy if its too hot to close the windows.

The room was clean but I would not stay here again.

Unable to check in on arrival until 4pm. Note on door saying this was due to sickness. We'd arrived direct from the airport, hotel was completely locked and nowhere to put our luggage.
