Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing to note for anyone booking the family room is that, whilst it has 2 bunks (4 beds) they are very small and our 12 year old only just managed to fit in it. It was not clear from the description of the rooms.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We booked the family room for 2 adults and 2 kids, however the reservation via Booking.com only went through for 2 adults. I contacted the hotel via email whilst driving from France and they made sure the room was made up for all 4 of us. The room was very spacious, extremely comfortable and clean. We had an amazing traditional diner at the restaurant and again everyone was very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. Breakfast was ok too. I wish we stayed longer.

United KingdomWalking the dig in cut grass meant dragging in grass cutting all the time. Sorry for the cleaning staff. Would have liked something to clean the shoes in the entrance.
Considering I thought I booked another hotel where we stayed last year we were delighted to end up where we were. Nice staff very good for walking the dog.

United KingdomBed was positioned below a sloping ceiling so I kept hitting my head as I turned over in bed. Probably okay for young children. Our room was overlooking the car park and very warm, but unable to open window due to smokers gathering at the front of the property. Our family's other room (double) was spacious with views across the rear garden. Recommend requesting a room at the back if possible. Sadly, the hotel were unable to accommodate us (at any time) for evening meal due to a wedding. After a long drive, we were hoping to try some local food. In the end, we went into town but the German restaurant was also fully booked, so we had to go further afield. Recommend booking evening meal in advance of your stay here.
Exceptional breakfast, one of the best choices I've seen and this set us up really well for the day. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms smart and rooms extremely clean.

BelgiumIt didn't bother us, but a family member who was also staying at the hotel complained about there not being a lift. In the room our children were staying in, the soap and shampoo dispenser had fallen off the wall and was propped up on a window ledge outside of the shower. Not very handy if you are in the shower...
Breakfast was amazing with a large selection appealing to both adults and children. Rooms were very large with comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet room with very little street noise. There is a lovely playground on site and they had a large inflatable soccer goal set up where children could kick balls that would stick with velcro to the goal that was set up like a target. A great addition! We were a bit stressed on arrival as we were late to get to a wedding and the check in receptionist quickly and efficiently got us in our rooms so we could change and race to the wedding.

United StatesThere wasn't anything I didn't like
The restaurant was lovely, dinner was beautifully presented. Don't skip the desserts, they were pretty and delicious. Ambience in the glass winter garden was classy and cozy. Breakfast was great. Not just continental breakfast choices (which included smoked salmon) but also some hot food which is not so common in Germany. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely eat out in the restaurant. They served tradional Schnitzel but also some interesting vegetarian options like creamed Wasabi coconut mash, tomato and walnut puree. The modern-design rooms we booked, were spotless and comfortable. The hotel is set in pretty country-side.

BelgiumWe had a 3 bed room. The main bed is basically two singles but they are sliding away from each other so easily that they are basically 3 separate ones.
We just stayed here as a one night stop on our way up North.. The place looked old from the outside but the room was definitely recently updated. It is close to the highway but also close to nature and a small town. Staff doesn't always speak English but there seems to be always one person available that does. I would rate them 11 as they were very friendly during our visit

United StatesStaff can be a bit curt .. annoying factor when their credit card terminal offers payment in your home countries currency they refuse to let you pay that way it’s Euro card or Euro cash .. it’s a bit silly to offer the DCC payment but refuse to let you do it we had the terminal ripped out of our hands !! They couldn’t understand they are paid in Euro even if we are charged in our currency. We where having a really nice dinner until this payment issue arose.
Their restaurant offers quality dining rooms clean and modern good stopover not far from Bremen.

NetherlandsNothing really worth mentioning.
The room was quite big and suitable for 3 people. Really beautiful bathroom and lots of space for your luggage and clothes. Very tidy and clean. Good Wifi. Parking in front of the hotel entrance. A big terrace behind the property ending in what looked like a kind of park. Situated just outside towncentre, but within walking distance. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was the best part of our stay. The (female) Chef is a real asset to this place. A wide variety of food, also vegetarian and vegan, as we never saw before. Very tasty and beautifully presented. A real treat.
