There were renovation works going on during our stay which were not stated on the site. Although there was a notice in our room that the works normally start around 9am during weekdays, we were waken up by workers at 8am due to loud talking and other noises right next to our window.

The room was clean and the hotel is at a good location. Not even 10 Minutes away from the City Center. Many restaurants nearby.

The hotel is located across the river from the city centre; the taxi took a bit of a detour when crossing one of the bridges. On foot, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the main shopping street. Even though the room had all the facilities that I find necessary, there wasn't a little bar fridge (even though cold drinks are available from reception desk downstairs).

Breakfast was excellent, members of staff were friendly and helpful. We had to leave early on the second day, and a staff member prepared a delicious lunch packet for us instead of breakfast. The room was perfectly clean, and the bed was comfortable; the water pressure in the shower was amazing! The room comes with a TV that has a huge variety of German, French, English and Italian channels. There is also an electronic safe, a hairdryer and a telephone. There are several shops, cafes and restaurants in the area; the neighbourhood is safe and quiet.

There was no exhaust fan and no heat in our bathroom. The beds are pretty hard. I used to like hard beds but now find them to be uncomfortable. The good thing is that there was no big dip in the bed.

The staff are very helpful here. My partner was ill and they let us keep food for him in the fridge since he could not leave the room to go to a restaurant. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of selection (including lactose free yogurt and milk). The coffee is also excellent.

Overlooking car park and some noise could be heard from the kitchen area of the on-site restaurant which was slightly disturbing but did not go on too late.

Basic Ibis no surprises served our purposes very well. Staff were friendly and good breakfast selection on offer. Decor was perhaps a little dated but room was comfortable and clean.

There was a doorway between the food serving area and the eating area that had a height restriction of 1.93 meters which was too low for me and one other person the morning I was there.

The room was very clean an the hotel had a good location very close to town. The hotel was bicycle friendly and had a good, secure location to store my bicycle at night. They supplied a very good breakfast.

There was no air conditioning and the windows were to the south (in all rooms in the hotel, as far as I could see). The day I was there is was not so warm outside, so it was possible to open the window and get some fresh air, but a few days before or after it had been very hot.

Central Saarbrucken is quite small, so even if this was a bit outside the center it was easy walking distance to all sights and the railway station. It's a quite area, the bed was good. The room was a bit old but had good quality bathroom fittings. Good value for the money.

There is a church with a bell-fanatic close to the hotel, and s/he was extremely motivated on Sunday morning. The building itself could use some refreshing, but the inside and the rooms are OK (but not very spacious).

The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the city centr. The staff was helpful and kind all along our stay. There is an amazing 100+ TV channels from all over the world and the TV is a huge flat screen - rather surprising. There is a good quality and affordable Mexican restaurant 5 meters from the hotel, a rather nice feature when it's raining.

The staff was very nice, professional and accomdating on all levels - even when some were at the last minute. The breakfast buffet was well worth the additional 11 euros per person per day. Two things could improve. 1. The room TV controls should have a working option to listen to the 'original language' - mostly English in other words - of films, some TV series, etc. Basic, in a hotel serving an international clientele. 2. I always think it's a bit mean not to include breakfast in the room price. You will claim it's a money-saving option for the customer, but it's not. It takes a strong will to say, "No, I will use the bakery down the road"! It's a hidden extra charge.

I had a double room as single on a late deal, and it was plain but modern, spacious and comfortable - and, what is essential in a budget hotel, well-maintained. (Do not let it get tatty!)

If you are looking for comfort, go else where. Beds are really uncomfortable. Rooms are really tiny. Bathroom was not welcoming. They advertise free wifi, but i couldnt even connect anywhere in this building. The elevator was smaller than a broom closet and broken at the time. Parking is very limited and really a tight squeeze to get out of.

Location was the only plus to this location. Downtown is 5-10 minute walk across the bridge. There is air conditioning for summer weather.
