NetherlandsStaff at check-in was very plain and not so welcoming. Desk in the room is a bit small though sufficient for a laptop. I lacked the room temperature control, though it wasn't that warm or cold in the room.
This hotel is literally located on top of the train station. But you have no idea during the night that you are that close. It not only allows for easy connection, but also fro a good parking garage as well as for an easy grab for breakfast. Rooms are sufficiently spacious as is the bath room. Nothing really out-of-class but a good hotel for a night sleep. Free umbrella was stocked in the wardrobe, which I definitely was in need of during my stay.

Hong KongThe room was a bit spartan. This is ok for a couple of days but I would not recommend it for a longer stay. It was a bit expensive for what it is, although Hamburg is overall quite a pricey place.
An efficient business hotel literally right next to the train station (which you can see from the lobby and I could from my room as well). On the 5th floor the train noise was quite moderate and did not disturb my sleep. I was also provided with free refreshments in the refridgerator. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's a very good location if traveling to and from the Altona Hamburg station.

Pleasant hotel, actually quiet despite being in the train station, runs very smoothly, very good and practical location, I'd come again next time in Hamburg.

SwitzerlandIt would have been nice to have a water kettle in the room, especially when it is cold. The staff were very friendly and gave us hot water in our travel mugs whenever we asked.
Breakfast was good and generous. Kids were not billed for breakfast. Location is perfect for public transport and just a few stops by S-bahn to the harbour and town center. The area close to the hotel offers many food and shopping options.

GermanyThis might not be your hotel if you are on a longer vacation as the service and equipment is rather basic - but for 2 nights to see the city it's totally sufficient and wonderfully located.
Location is just brilliant when you're travelling by ICE: Just go to Altona instead of Hbf and you're there already. The Elbe and several areas with great bars / restaurants are nearby and even Schanzenviertel and St. Pauli are within walking distance (at least if you're European ;).
