During the breakfast there wasn’t enough staff in the restaurant.

I like to spend time in this hotel during spring months. You will enjoy a wonderful restaurant with a view to the city. Staff are also friendly and helpful.

No cozy bar to heave little drink... just a small buddy table in front of the kitchen and buffet counter.. very busy Guest rooms would need a refurbishment and deep cleaning.. had a white towel in rooms which seems to be cleaned but with several dirty looking spots on it.,

Sad, particularly in a hotel priding itself on its food, that the coffee disappointingly came from an automatic machine - my husband's macchiato was more like a latte, even to the glass. I do enjoy good coffee in the mornings, and German hotels are usually good at it.

The hotel is situated high in the upper town, and consequently has stunning views, particularly from the dining room. We had a warm welcome from mine host who spoke very good English. Our room was small with a high, small window- shower etc fitted into one corner. A little cramped for two mature adults with laptops! Restaurant belongs to slow food movement. and dinner was well-presented regional dishes. Breakfast excellent - wonderful Bircher Muesli. Excellent wifi.

    Really, nothing.

Engelbert is a charming host. He is trained at the Cordon Bleu, has a certificate as a Fromageur, and makes his own wines on site. The result is an exceptional restaurant experience. Prices for the food are high, but this is more than made up for by the quality of the food and great value for the rooms (which are modest, but fine). Views from the restaurant are stellar.

Seemed really expensive for what it was. A very basic room. The shower was poor and didn't even drain properly. Basically not good value for money.

Great view from the top floor

Rooms a bit dated. Heating was poor.

Excellent restaurant. Great personal service both in restaurant and hotel. Owner really cares about his customers. Hotel is far better than represented online. A great location if visiting Alsace or Germany.

No view of the river and a trek uphill from the town.

The staff were very welcoming and good with young children. The hotel is very traditional and Germanic which may not be to everyone's taste but we loved it.

A very charming property where you get the most caring personal service. When in Breisach, surely the place to stay! Amazing food!

Nice views from the hotel. Convenient for the Cathedral, the Klostergarten, and the older part of town on the hill.
