Phantastic ambiance, in the room, in the restaurant, on the entire property. Super clean. Staff were helpful and extremly friendly.

The wi fi did not work at all during our 2 day stay. The plumbing worked but made a real racket, TV didn't work as remote control batteries were dead. Guy who did check us in was unfriendly, virtually just gave keys and said find your room. No air con, no fan, no fridge. Was much further to Burghausen then expected - a 5 km walk each way.

The girl on at breakfast was friendly, all the others verging on rude. The room was very large.

    The weather.

Wonderful restaurant. Stepping into the dining room is stepping into the past. The rooms combined the new with the old and were beautifully appointed. I would recommend it to anyone looking for the extraordinary off the beaten path.

The building was being worked on so we were woken up at 6:15 to trucks and workers outside our window. They needs signs from the parking lot that are more visible where the proper point of entry is to the hotel/restaurant.

Loved this location and just the property itself. Kid friendly and great restaurant! Would have loved to check out the surrounding towns along the gorge if we had the time.

The place was under construction, and this was not communicated to us prior to our visit. We could not see out of our rooms because of scaffolding and tarps.

It was an interesting place with the history, and the location that you could wonder and walk the grounds. Nice having a restaurant and beer garden, driving to the close town would be 15 minutes.

Good location, but too many drawbacks to ever stay here again

The strange design of the toilets don't allow for actually flushing all your business, which results in the bathroom smelling like urine. Many rooms overlook a busy street, so it's loud at night. If your room has an a/c unit, you don't get to use it unless you pay. (They hold onto the remote.) Very strange place.

Decent location - half way between the train station and downtown.

Minor note - Kostergasthof - We found Breakfast hours are a too early for us. 9:30-10 AM Breakfast close time - was a too early on weekends if you are traveling in from a far. We often look to sleep it a bit and take a late relaxed breakfast.. However for most hotel guests expect this is just fine and up early. Basic Breakfast is fine and works and in the monastery hall in hotel.

Nice place for a weekend get away and trek in Burghausen local area. We stayed for Easter weekend with family and had a great time. Smaller hotel with 27 rooms (German ) Kostergasthof Raitenhaslach - is Fun place has old monastery charm and old world feel to it. Great beer hall, and summer beer garden, service is good as is the dishes and food from local area.

It would have been handy to have had the option of an evening meal. The lift needs purging of cigarette fumes!

What a treat to stay in an old abbey. It was secluded from the town but quite accessible. The abbey itself had a beautiful church, an historic atmosphere and a great location along the river. We had dinner there and it was very nice.

Service could be much better. The restaurant guests seem to be more important that the hotel guests. The room is right above a patio with restaurant. A lot of noise and smoke from guests in the room. After 10pm, it was very quiet.

Rooms are nice. Bathroom is great. Location is really beautiful.
