Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The internet seemed to be inaccessible but we neglected to mention this to the owners. One item that would be nice to have is a wash cloth for the bathroom.
we enjoyed the stay and the staff were very friendly. The owners were exceptionally helpful and tried hard to accomadate all requests. The meals at dinner and the included breakfast were of high quality and ample.

Unfortunately, during the last night, there were a bit noisy guests staying up late and going in and out of the neighbouring rooms, which was somewhat disturbing. Maybe some clear information about the quiet period could be added in the rooms and mentioned upon check-in, especially when there are families with younger children in the nearby rooms.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Owners were very kind and helpful, asking continuously if everything was fine and sharing information/tips about the area. Breakfast was also good. There were nice areas around to go for a walk with our dog. Benny, the owners dog, was very kind and friendly, and our dog Freddie also got to go out and play with him 🐕 😊 You can find a grocery store, gas station, McDonald's and some café/ restaurants in couple of kilometers radius. It took about 30 minutes to drive to the Hamburg centre. If we plan another trip in the neighbourhood, we will most likely return to Landhaus Mienenbüttel. Thank you for a great service! 😊

The wifi is not so great in the hotel room.
The location of the hotel is really great! It is not far away from the high way, very convenient location. The staff there are very nice and friendly. Good breakfast and dinner, quiet in the night. Not far from the hotel (walking distance), there is even a Hofladen where you can buy tasty local products.

The menu of both restaurant and hotel breakfast didn’t include much options for people that can not eat pork meat.
Good location when traveling back from Scandinavia to the Netherlands. Nice rooms, good shower, nice people, restaurant with a terrace that also had a children menu! We had a room in the back which was really quiet.

Smoking neighbors in the courtyard
Family hotel with a restaurant near the highway. Spacious room with a view of greenery. Free parking. Everything you need for an overnight stay on the way from Denmark to the south of Germany.

Bed was a bit too hard and the road it is on was a bit more busy than expected, but it gets quiet in the evening. The birds will wake you, not the traffic! :-)
Small privately run family hotel. Immaculately clean rooms. Fresh bread and ample choice for breakfast, they make you scrambled eggs on request. Friendly people. Close to the highway but not right next to it.

The floor of the showercabin was a bit slippery.
A nice cosy place. Good food, and nice owners. Well placed just south of Hamburg, Close but not to close to the high way. Bruno the watch dog a most fantastic creature.

No kettle or fridge in the room; just nice to have as a little extra. I missed a bit of fruit at breakfast time.
Easy to get to, just off the highway. The owners and staff are lovely and very accommodating. Dogs are welcome 🙂 The food at the restaurant was more than adequate for a quick dinner and good value for money.

Appearance of black mould on the shower door.
Convenient location near the major highway, yet in the countryside. Parking suitable for long vehicles. Rooms pretty big, restaurant is onsite.
