The place is a total disaster and should be avoided. Go elsewhere if you can.

The WiFi was barely accessible from the room, and required a stupid, slow, long and painful registration mechanism. In a town sitting in the border with Poland, the network name was German hotspot: not super smart either. After the 10 min long login process, bandwidth was incompatible with low-res youtube. Staff does not speak English. The man who probably runs the place (despite being a rude, grumpy old chap) did *not* speak a word of it, and the young lady who served the table, while trying, had some serious difficulties expressing even the simplest of things. I was not told that they would charge me for three things I'm used to being free: sauna, towels and a doing a 1h late checkout. Taking an apple in your hand out of breakfast? You gotta pay for that too. Rooms are cold and poorly insulated: you will hear everything around and everything around will hear you. If you open the window for a nanosecond, you will experience cold for an hour. The bathroom is tiny, so don't try to sit down in the toilet. Breakfast? Nothing fresh, except for apples and oranges, both a week too ripe. Cheap cereal, cheap butter, canned fruit, cheap cheese, no eggs, no meat, little and bad bread.

There are trees around the property. Creepy at night, though.

The staff were all friendly, competent and professional. I appreciated their flexibility (we had to rearrange the schedule due to a cancelled train) - and their willingness to go the extra mile (lifts to and from the station). The food is good and there's an excellent variety of treatments on offer. The remoteness of the place makes it a proper retreat - a place for sheer pampering and relaxation. Loved it!

Unfortunately road noise disturbed our stay ( august with windows open) and the WiFi in the morning caused despair (trying to book next hotel) but I think it was not the hotel but German telecom

Beautiful lovely style, well presented ,excellent maintainance. An excellent example of the best of German hotels

We stayed in the bungalows - very nice, quiet place. The staff doesn't speak much English but we managed to understand each other and everyone was very friendly.
