    Perfect place to recharge after a long road trip

    Maybe in the near future an optional airconditioner or minimally a fan (as environmentally friendly alternative) could be offered in some of the rooms.

    The personnel did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We got an upgrade to a room with multiple windows and balcony to reduce the heat due to the weather. There is a nice swimming pool (indoor) which is very refreshing, as well as a sauna. The wifi is excellent, the TV has many channels, also foreign. The beds are comfortable. The restaurant is also excellent, especially the mountain river trout which is so fresh and prepared very well. The breakfast is extremely good and has an extensive choice of fresh products. The area around the hotel also looks nice to explore but we did not have time. It is conveniently located not too far from the E35 but in a quiet village for an overnight stay away from the autobahn, very nice to reload from a long trip by car. We will definitely go back another time.

    The reception was usually empty. We had to wait several minutes to do the check-in after ringing the bell several times (In the end a waiter of the kitchen had to come to give us the key to the room). It was difficult to find a parking spot but it was also manily due to the innability of some people to park correctly.

    The swimming pool was small but very pleasant, the temperature was ok. As many other reviewers have said, the restaurant was magnificent and not expensive! The staff was in general very nice and helpful. The breakfast was also good.

    The electronic doorlocks were tricky, but always worked in the end.

    The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious with a balcony and view of the vinyards. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

    A marvellous little hotel . All staff were incredibly friendly - helped us that their English was so good . Restaurant was superb and we tried local wines and delicacies . Breakfast was outstanding - loads of choice and always replenished . Children loved the pool and the hot chicolate. The restaurant is closed on a Thursday and reception not always staffed -!they emailed me in advance , as we were arriving on a Thursday , to give details how to get in and where our key would be and where to go to eat . Very efficient and would definitely return . Would need a car in this area to really enjoy all it has to offer .

    The duvets were the winter ones - for us a bit hot - but as the weather had been chilly, they hadn't changed to the lighter summer duvets, which I'm sure one could ask for, if one was too hot. Oberkirch itself wasn't worth a visit.

    The room (Zi. 41) was very quiet, overlooking grass & trees in the side garden and away from the main road. Although a new terrace was being constructed in front of the house, we hardly heard any noise, though you could hear the pool pump during the day. The pool itself was small but beautifully appointed with a bubble and a gush fountain - clean shower, toilets, good colours - royal blue and gold - a pleasure to swim in. Excellent restaurant for dinner and excellent varied breakfast with plenty of fruits of the region. Welcoming family proprietors - all very civil & friendly. We would certainly stay here again. The hotel is out of Oberkirch in Ringelbach and from the turnoff outside Oberkirch to the tiny hamlet of Ringelbach and onwards from there, the landscape is very pretty. If you drive on over the winding hill from the Salmen and right down through the next rather long, twisting village, at the corner of the next turn-off to the right, there's the district Wine Genossenschaft store - marked outside with a huge poster of two wine bottles - good wine, reasonable prices and a modern coffee shop opposite. From here it's quicker back to Achern and then the Autobahn to travel on northwards.

    Located in a small village with very limited choice of restaurants etc.. We arrived late Sunday and couldn't really get anything to eat.

    Very nice breakfast with great choice of fruits. Very nice staff speaking good english. Nice facilities (swimming pool). Family room (actually apartment) spacious and comfy. Very clean and tidy (as you expect from Germans).

    The parking is a bit tight and can be crowded sometimes. The hotel could work on further improving their cuisine which falls short compared to very good restaurants in the region. The shower is a bit too small.

    The hotel is beautifully located in the wine yards. It has very friendly staff and good and modern rooms with spacious beds.

    The people were phenomenal;
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children

    Although the breakfast spread was excellent, the dinner meal at the hotel restaurant was average, nothing noteworthy. Bed comfort was satisfactory, not dreamy, first time I've had back pain, after one night.

    The people were phenomenal; very cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable. The staff turned a enjoyable stay into a memorable time. The pool was a great treat for the children and seemed well kept. The village itself was not the attraction, but the small musikfest was probably the most remarkable in a long time with a focus on tradition and people coming together.
