    Good but had some issues
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Quadruple Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

We were placed in a triple room rather than the quadruple room we paid extra for and it was too small for our party of 5. We had a language barrier and didn't find many of the staff to speak English so were unable to get the matter resolved with our room. In addition, the WI-FI didn't work in our room and parking was hard to find. The morning continental breakfast, while organic and delicious, was picked over. We tried different times on both days of our stay and both times there was very little food left. The rooms do not have air conditioner so that is something to keep in mind for summer. We were on the top floor which was very warm. Lastly, the walls are very thin and our next door neighbors were quite loud so it was difficult to get our children to fall asleep. Patrons used the bar area in the courtyard until around 11pm on Saturday. If you have a family with children you might want to consider a different property. I would recommend this property for solo travelers and couples but not for families with small children.

Staff gave us a jar of jam upon check in as a welcome gift. The restaurant on site was very nice. We ate there four times and it was excellent each time. We enjoyed the location which was close to many shops and a park near the river.

The only downside is there are no blackout shades in the windows. So if you are traveling in the summer it can get very bright very early in the morning

Very cozy hotel and friendly staff. We got an upgrade for a better room because we were traveling with 2 kids and a crib as courtesy.

Parking! The hotel/restaurant also has their external guests. So, there are no enough parking places for hotel guests, although the parking was guaranteed. I had to park on the street and someone hit my car! When I mentioned this to the hotel staff, the gentleman replied that: "this is not my problem"...

Most of the staff were very friendly. Very good breakfast!

A comfortable stay in a charming suburb of Würzburg. Buy the wine.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Triple Room
    • Stayed 1 night

There's not much in the way of air conditioning other than opening a window, which then lets in the sound of traffic driving past. The bathroom, whilst all still perfectly serviceable and in excellent working order, was beginning to show cosmetic signs of age.

Randersacker is a charming little corner of Würzburg, full of little narrow cobbled streets and buildings festooned with gorgeous floral arrangements on the balconies. Würzburg itself is arguably the capital of German wine manufacture. The reason you haven't tasted any decent German wine is that they drink it all themselves and export the rubbish to the UK. Anyway, the hotel is 30 years old and, whilst still comfortable, is beginning to show some signs of an extremely well maintained age. A bit like a great aunt who still goes jogging and whom you secretly fancy. The breakfast was fabulous - a real treat. Continental style buffet, with meats, cheese, breads, fruit, yoghurt and a local poppy-seed cake. Dinner in the same restaurant the previous evening was a revelation. Fantastic, seasonal dishes and the local wine (all dry - surprisingly crisp and complex - a real eye-opener. The hotel also has its own wine shop - so you can buy some more of what you fancy. A complementary half bottle was given us on checking out!

They had not read the special requests section on the booking form and told me they never did. Theytherefore were not expecting me to need wheelchair access and had let the wheelchair room to someone else. They did find me a room I could get into but it was not very good.

Breakfast was a little limited but tasted good. the coffee was ok, but not great.

Very comfortable room and the restaurant was very good service. One member of staff spoke good enough English to describe the menu to us and the food was very good. The wines were locally produced and tasted very good.

We only had to stay one night.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children

First beer after a long day's drive took forever to arrive and was warm. Second beer was colder which reinforced suspicion that the 1st say waiting on counter too long. No English, which can be expected but when this extends to your English menu, it becomes a problem. When the menu says 'banger and bread' you don't expect cold meats, bread and a gerkin... Not normally a problem except when faced with 2 hungry children expecting a sausage... After supporting the 'in house' reasturant to the tune of 55 euros, we asked for some ice to take to the room. It took a while to explain and even then they would only give us 4 ice cubes... The shower was partially blocked and turned into a mini-bath. The toilet seat was missing a support and as a result very rickety. The 'free' WIFI was practically unusable.

We only had to stay one night.

Limited parking. No mini-bar (actually pity, that there is no refrigerator). Small rooms, very basic. Triple room is double with an extra bed.

Very friendly staff, waited for us till 11:30 pm through officially the reception is open till 10:00. They helped with parking as the places are limited. Nice authentic hall interior. OK for one night stay. Winery region.
