No lift, so I had to climb 3 stories with a big backpack. The noise at times was high, would recommend earplugs.

The location, and the bathroom were very clean. The bedrooms were cleaned daily. The room size was adequate for a solo traveller.

Just to be aware the train line passes by the hotel, so this does generate some noise - it didn't bother us, but is good to be aware of. No elevator so if you have heavy suitcases it's tricky to get up the stairs. While location was pretty central, keep in mind it is about a 10 min walk from the metro/train/trams, so slightly more walking to get around

Beautiful and unique decor, very smooth check in process, friendly staff. The room was huge and had a decent sized bathroom also. Located just a 10 min walk from main train station and Brandenburg gate.

The room was small but comfortable. The toilet and the shower rooms are shared, but they were very clean. The area is well located nearby the railway station and it is also served by nice restaurant. The staff at the reception was friendly.

The towels were not placed in our room so we didn’t know how many people are supposed to use them. It would be better to put them on the bed so the guests know exactly which towels are for them.

Excellent value for money. Great location. If you are staying in Berlin for few days, this hotel is a big recommendation! All main attractions are on walking distance.

I jammed my thumb when opening large wooden access door because handle on door is too close to side of adjoining door.

It looks like a building, not a hotel. We wanted an affordable one-night stay, so that was a great option. This is a great place but if you are looking for a fancy place, I would say that this might not be the best option for you.

Very good location, walking distance from several attractions and the main train station Berlin Hauptbahnhof (the train passes close to the building so it was a little noisy). They had earplugs on the nightstand (that helped in blocking the noise). They didn’t have breakfast, but they offered lockers (out of charge) which was super helpful after we check out.

We didn’t know there wasn’t a lift (although we could’ve asked but didn’t think to) and so lugging bags up the stairs was a little tricky. BUT it is to be expected in old properties, so just be aware of this 🙂

Great location. Single room felt a little lively with other single people in the floor. Didn’t feel alone which was a good feeling. Good single room. A great stay I highly recommend it and it was a good experience for my first time solo travelling.

Elevator Issue: During my stay, the elevator was unfortunately out of order, which was quite inconvenient as my room was located on the top floor and I had a heavy suitcase weighing over 23 kg. However, I must commend the staff, particularly the receptionist who went above and beyond to assist me. Their help in carrying my suitcase to the top floor was greatly appreciated. Despite this exceptional service, the lack of a functional elevator in such an old building is a significant drawback, especially for guests traveling with large luggage.

Room: I opted for a simple, single room with a shared bathroom, as my stay was limited to one night with plans to catch a train the next day. For this purpose, the room was perfectly adequate. It was clean, the bed comfortable enough, and there was ample space to accommodate my rather large luggage. Bathroom: Choosing a room with a shared bathroom was a practical decision for my short stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathroom not only clean but also well-stocked with essentials like shampoo and shower gel. Additionally, I experienced no waiting time to access these facilities. While everything was very basic, it met all my needs and would be satisfactory for anyone without extravagant expectations. Location: The venue's location is a major plus - nestled in the heart of Berlin, it's a mere 10-minute walk from the main train station and close to various sightseeing spots. The ease of access to public transportation also adds to its convenience, making it an ideal spot for travelers.

Perfect location! Good for persons who travel alone, much better than a bunk bed at least. I loved the atmosphere, the inner part of the hotel is surrounded with plants.

The Arte Louise Kunsthotel is in a great location, well connected with public transport to get around Berlin. The hotel is fantastic with a lot of character and friendly staff.
