Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe building is a little older, so the walls are not as soundproof as they could be; I heard a toddler babbling in the next room in the morning, and a woman in the room on the other side faking it the night before... Parking is (as other reviewers have noted) less than ideal, and all the one-way streets, cul-de-sacs and on-street parking make finding a parking spot... difficult.
In contrast to many of the other hotels I saw listed for Saarbrücken, the location is very central, but parking is (as other reviewers have noted) less than ideal, and all the one-way streets, cul-de-sacs and on-street parking make finding a parking spot... difficult. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but not too spartan. Another reviewer mentioned hearing bells from the church across the street, but they didn't ring while I was there.

Czech RepublicStaff did not speak English much and there was reconstruction going on the outer side of the building. Also sound isolation was not much effective so there was lots of noise.
The room looks cozy and everything looks like new.

IrelandEntire exterior of building was under reconstruction when I was there . Scaffolding entirely covered the front . There was no mention of works on site when I was booking . They should at least let people know state of building before they book . Rate should have been lower as a consequence

NetherlandsThe staff was really helpful and friendly, the hotel is situated right in the city center. The breakfast was outstanding, and it was personalised, so no buffet, which is really good against food waste.

LuxembourgWalls are paper thin so I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. I could hear full conversations from the next room and they were not speaking loudly. I am picky about these things, but others, like my husband, are not bothered at all. This is the only complaint.
Location is close to all amenities and the river. Clean room with nice windows. Bed was quite comfortable and Wi-Fi was good.

IndiaThe WiFi wasn't working in the hotel lounge area, although it was working fine in my room.
The location of the hotel is very nice -- close to Johanneskirche and close to the train station. The staff was very courteous and helpful and agreed to keep my luggage for a few hours after checkout. The room was comfortable and the facilities were very good. The weather was slightly on the warmer side, but I guess in this part of Germany (Saarbrucken), it's not usual to have fans or air conditioners in the room (there was of course a room heater).

United States of AmericaTowels were worn and seemed at end of their useful life.
We arrived in the evening, went out for a quick dinner, then went to bed. Left the hotel soon after waking in the morning. The room was comfortable and clean. Towels in bathroom were somewhat frayed and tattered. The hotel staff was very helpful. This hotel met our needs for a quick stopover when passing through Saarbrucken.

FranceThere can be some noise with the tram nearby. There is not much intimacy with the glass door with the toilets. There is a parking nearby however the discount with the hotel for 24h stay is not that interesting (2 euro discount).
The hotel was perfectly located in the city center. Everything was equiped for a one night stay. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The view on the church was appreciated.

GermanyVery pleasant ant central hotel. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very tasty, at the moment you have to order what you want the day before and it's served at your table. Not far to the main square or the station. My room had a nice view of the church and there are several bars and restaurants further up the same street, so you don't have to go into the main centre to eat.

United KingdomWhat a great little discovery. Quirky hotel with lots of nice touches and attention to detail made this a welcoming, warm and memorable experience. Staff were really lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was organic and super yummy and really nicely presented. Great location and right in the heart of Saarbrücken and everything is within walking distance. We will definitely stay again and can happily recommend this gem of a hotel!
