Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkThe ventilation in the bathroom was quite noisy.
Super friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is located just by the ferry and across the tram. There is a public parking lot close by and the hotel provided vouchers for free parking. We also received tourist cards for free tram, bus, and ferry usage in the area. We had a lovely room (junior suite)

GermanyUnfortunately our room is next to the openly balcony. I don't want to hear other's private things but can hear it right in my room and till late of night. The parking fee is 5 Euro per day and maybe this is not a good point for some people.
The location is good. You can easily leave you car and travel by foot or train to other town in national park. The view is spectacular and you can just sit there and look out of window then the Elbe river and beautiful nature just right in front of you. Breakfast is also another good point. You can choose different bread or food that you like to eat. You can also order fresh made scrambled egg and bacon. Every morning Hotel provide a small "news paper" and you will know the weather for today and tips for travel in national park.

GermanyThe hotel didn't charge us the agreed upon price I received in the booking.com app, + whatever room service or parking charges we needed to pay. Instead, they charged us 176€ more than what we should have paid. This should have been their responsibility to check and not overcharge us. Nonetheless, I checked my booking.com app and records and noticed we were indeed overcharged a significant amount. I therefore called the hotel on the same day we made the payment to explain this. After a bit of back and forth, they realized they made a mistake, apologized, and agreed verbally they would indeed charge back my credit card for the 176€ they owed us. We unfortunately didn't receive any written confirmation of this. What happened after this is what I find completely outrageous. They mentioned that it can take a while for us to receive our money back. So we were patient before we got in touch with them again. After not receiving any refund, my husband contacted them by email on July 9th to ask about when we could receive the money we were owed. No written response. After a phonecall on July 10th, we were informed that the money had already been transferred over to us. However we had not received anything in our bank account. My husband sent another email on July 15th about our situation. Still no written response. Bear in mind that we had overpaid our hotel bill due to the hotel's mistake on June 26th! So we're talking about almost three weeks later and no refund. On July 16th, I left an honest review of our negative experiences regarding this hotel, and then magically, we get the money in our account on July 17th! Guess what the hotel does at this point? They wrote me a message on the booking.com app threatening legal action for defamation for leaving an honest review! Of course this is not going to hold up in any court. In addition, they said I wrote my review in "unacceptable German", when I actually had written my review in English.
The hotel stay itself was actually great. My husband and I stayed here with his parents and therefore we stayed four nights in two hotel rooms. Rooms were clean and internet worked. Cheap parking is available near the hotel, and the hotel has elevators, which was important for my father in law. The breakfasts were really good and customer service overall was also good. What happened after our stay is what is unacceptable and I will describe this in the "dislike" portion shortly.
