Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff were so friendly and made us very welcome. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and felt really fresh. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, a real pleasure. The food in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast was a real treat. Overall we would certainly go back to this Hotel in the future.

Their car park is not that big, so there is a risk that one might not be able to park there.
I am Coeliac, so it was possible for me to have Gluten Free bread. The manageress was a very friendly person, and helped sort out a problem caused by Booking.Com which was the only way to get the required information out of Booking.Com - Booking.Com's support agents were not very helpful. I don't normally like showers, but I was able to get the right temperature for me in their shower.

This was our second stay at Mariaweiler Hof. It is perfect for our overnight stay in our way from the UK to Nurnberg. Always a warm and friendly welcome. The room (Superior Double I think) was lovely and spacious, very clean and it’s nice to have the little kitchen for making a cup of tea. The bathroom is huge with a great shower. Bed is very comfortable and huge, probably 2 metres. There is a nice little footpath by a small river nearby so you can stretch your legs after a long drive. We will definitely return and plan to stay a little longer next time and explore the area. Car park is spacious and directly next to the hotel. Breakfast is very good with lots of choices.

I don't know if I was still wound up from the Classic Meets Rock concert that I sang but I didn't sleep well or very much. The curtain doesn't really keep the sun out that well and I was immediately up at 6am. Also, I had a little issue about the open bathroom concept, even though I was alone I wasn't comfortable doing my business.
The breakfast was great. The bed was good. The staff was fantastic. They even made special previsions for arrival for me and left my key to my room in my friend's room, who already had checked in the day before.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is well located for a stopover on a long drive back to the UK. Close to the Autobahn. Breakfast was plentiful and even offered loose leaf teas. Location was quiet but that could depend on which room as it is located at an intersection but we heard no noise overnight. Plenty of parking. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re driving through Germany.

Super friendly staff, spacious hotel, well stocked with a fantastic host and breakfast. The restaurant is superb. The rooms are small and easily set up for a place to rest between Christmas Markets. Easy parking. 5 stars.

If anything; the automatic light in the little hallway. Also switches on when going to the bathroom during the night.

The chef was on holiday during our stay, so the restaurant menu was reduced. Although we appreciated their offer to prepare us dinner, we felt like their hearts weren’t really in it and as we were the only ones dining, it was a bit weird. Our room was small with a small window, so felt a bit claustrophobic to spend any time there.
