Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe photos show the place at its absolute best - it is a lot more tired than this now, and it wasn't as clean (the bathroom wasn't cleaned during my 2 night stay). The system for arrival was a little confused (I was told the key would be in the room door, when I asked which room, I was told "1 ... or 3 or 5"). The bathroom (with toilet and shower in a single room) is shared between 5 rooms, which could be up to 10 people using one room.
The location is good for the tram and to get to the city centre and there are some nice restaurants. The wifi was very good.

SwedenCheck in was very confusing, no information given on how to enter, not just for us but everyone else that also checked in. Shared bathroom that became dirty quickly. Would be better with shelves rather than drawers.
Comfortable beds and the kitchen made it easy to make breakfast. Nice to have own fridge in the room and the furniture in there.

FranceSeveral bad points : - There is no hot water so you have to like cold shower (I'm not that much into that and I like to have mid temperature water) - There is only one bathroom for the 5 rooms of the floor, with the toilets inside the bathroom, which means when someone is showering no one can go to the Toilet. And they could be up to 10 people in the floor, so it's a bit annoying. Because there is no mirror or sink (lavabo) in the room, then people need to go to the bathroom for everything like makeup, brushing your teeth,... So it's busy. - In the morning, someone of the staff came into our room without knocking just opening the door without asking. We were actually having personnal moment with my boyfriend, we were naked, and it has made us very uncomfortable (note that it wasn't check out time yet). When my boyfriend came out of the room to tell it's not ok, she didn't even excuse for coming in our intimacy. Overall I think the price is expensive for what it is ; an old appartment transformed in an hostel with the minimum investment (not even a transformation of the bathroom that is suitable for a family but definitely not for an hostel).
It's new and clean, the room was big with a fridge.

FinlandIt was very noisy on the hallways and you could hear everything from the other rooms. But it’s definitely value for your money with this price!
The location was perfect and the rooms were extremely clean. We missed our last train home that night so we needed a place to stay. The place was affordable and beds were comfortable.

Germany1. Normally you should share the bathroom with some other rooms, if there are some more people taking a shower you will need to wait, in my case was pretty fine I did not need to wait. 2. Check in was a bit confusing as you don’t even know how enter in the hotel, the principal door looks close but it’s not locked so basically you just need to open it, also you don’t really know where is the staff, we checked some floors and in the second floor found a ring-bell and try, there was the friendly hotel guy who let us know where was our room.
1. It was a really affordable price for one night. 2. You don’t feel the pressure of the staff as it is just one person who manage it and was friendly. 3. You don’t need to keep on mind too much Hotel rules as it looks like an Airbnb apartment. 4. Staff can speak in English without any problem. 5. The location is pretty good, near of it is the city center.

GermanyThere is really not much to put on the "negative" side - so, what follows is complaining on a very high level. First - since there is an open kitchen in the property, there was a very slight cooking smell throughout the room. Secondly - the bathroom has a motion sensor activated light ... never seen something like that before and it could happen that suddenly one does stand/sit in the dark ;-) But as I said - for the price charged these were of no real concern for me.
The apartment is very conveniently located in the city of Kassel. Moving in and getting in touch with the property was easy and the owner was helpful and always reachable when called. The apartment itself was clean, the bed comfortable. Heating worked fine and the bathroom/shower was ok for the price.

PolandWe arrived at 9 PM to a fully paid and confirmed booking, only to be told via intercom that the apartment had already been given to someone else — and shockingly, the host claimed it wasn't his fault but Booking.com's. No one greeted us, no help was offered, and we were basically kicked to the street with the advice to "just cancel and find something else." It was late, on a Saturday, in an unfamiliar city. The host was completely unreachable afterward and showed no responsibility or professionalism whatsoever.
The only positive aspect of this nightmare was the quick and professional response from Booking.com customer support, who managed to find us a last-minute replacement accommodation late in the evening.

BangladeshNo reception or anything. It is an issue checking in. The ower replies late to sms and does not receive calls. No instructions given during the booking. The rooms without bath are on the 3rd floor with a narrow and steep stair. The lights on the corridor have a movement sensor with timer around 10 seconds. Which is aweful. The kitchen does not have proper cutlery or dishes for cooking. The main issue is heating. The owner manipulated the heating to make it as low as possible. Always had to wear winter jacket, warm socks and warm pants even inside the room. Avoid this place during the winter, it is same as staying outside. The toilet heating is disabled. So you would have to poo in the cold and also shower has issue with warm water. In the middle of shower cold water will start coming. Probably the water heater has timer or flow sensor. The ower just wants to make money without providing adequate facilities for the guests.
The room is adequate with fridge. The cleaning staff regularly cleans the room. There is adequate arrangement for cooking.

GermanyOur room was TOO COLD 🥶.. even with the heater on at the maximum, the room was just too cold, even with the blanket, we couldn't sleep well. The heater is too small for the room and heat not circulating very well... We had to check out very early because, the cold has already affected us negatively.
The environment is nice, the room is spacious and clean, so also the toilet and the small kitchen too.. everywhere is clean including the long curvy stairs.. everywhere is clean and very neat.. the bed is also comfortable
